Did you know that CAMRA supports real cider as well as real ale? CAMRA defines real Cider or Perry as being fermented from the whole juice of fresh pressed apples or pears, without the use of concentrated or chaptalised juices. Here's one local event celebrating real cider, and feel free to let us know about any others!

The Bath & Borders branch uses beer scores submitted during pub visits to help decide which pubs are featured in the annual Good Beer Guide. The more members who score their beers, the more accurate our picture of where to find the best real ale becomes.

Beer scoring on the CAMRA website has recently been simplified, making it quicker and easier than ever to take part. Why not log in, score your latest pint, and help support the guide?

Here's Mickey Flynn (left), cellar manager of The Raven in Bath accepting the Bath & Borders CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year Runner-Up certificate at a gathering last night.

Congratulations to everyone at The Raven on another fantastic achievement. A pub with a proud record in our branch awards, having previously won Branch Pub of the Year in 2006, 2013, 2018 and 2023, and consistently in the medal stakes.

Well done Mickey and the whole Raven team! 🍻

Just 14 months after reopening as a community-owned pub, The Hop Pole Inn, Limpley Stoke, Wiltshire has won the accolade of CAMRA Bath & Borders Pub of the Year 2026.

Many congratulations to the Limpley Stoke Community Benefit Society, and to the brilliant management team Charlie Rawlings & Hannah Randall (pictured l-r with Trevor Cromie, Bath & Borders CAMRA branch chair).

The award was presented on Tuesday 21st April, and the journey’s not over yet… The Hop Pole now heads into the CAMRA South West regional pub of the year competition. Fingers crossed!
