Coming up this week is Swindon B**r Festival. It takes place in the Steam Museum, about 10 minutes walk from the station.

🚂🍺 Bath & Borders CAMRA on tour🚂🚍

Last Saturday, CAMRA members from Bath, Bristol, Bradford-on-Avon, Warminster and Frome headed out by public transport to Bruton and Wincanton for a day of exploring, good company and a few pubs along the way.

The trains and buses worked impeccably!👍 Especially useful for our lightning visit to the excellent Bayford Inn, just on the edge of Wincanton.

We enjoyed many interesting pubs, with some real highlights (and a couple that perhaps won’t be troubling the top of anyone’s real ale list, but still fantastic community pubs).

The 2027 edition of the Good B**r Guide is released today! CAMRA members can search for listed pubs in the CAMRA website as usual. And the printed copy is now available to buy, either from booksellers or direct from CAMRA by mail order.

Great to see The Grapes in Bath is embracing National Cask Ale Week. We popped in during the branch social last night and the cask ales were selling like hot cakes!

Did you know that CAMRA supports real c***r as well as real ale? CAMRA defines real C***r or Perry as being fermented from the whole juice of fresh pressed apples or pears, without the use of concentrated or chaptalised juices. Many members of this group contributed time and resources towards saving The Hop Pole in Limpley Stoke as a community pub. It has gone from strength to strength since reopening last year under the management of Hannah and Charlie.
