A very sad night tonight as we said goodbye to LC Zac, as he ages out in a few days time. After 8 years in the unit, he has gained so much experience and has been an amazing role model to the other Cadets.

We are all sad to see him move on - his commitment and enthusiasm will be missed, but we wish him every success in his future career. We are sure he has a very bright future ahead of him. 🌟

You might think that our unit is quiet in the Autumn / Winter months when we can't be on the water.

Definitely not! And last night was a great demonstration of how busy our Cadets have all been.

It was Divisions and we were delighted to welcome Captain Rich McHugh, Senior Naval Officer in Bath, who enjoyed watching the Cadets showing off some of their drill skills, before handing out numerous awards and promotions, celebrating all the courses and dedication from the cadets over the past few months.

A special mention and BZ to Leading Cadet Lydia and Noah who have recently passed their Leading Cadet board and are now two of our most senior cadets in the unit.

A busy and proud night for our unit!

Another great weekend for City of Bath Sea Cadets as four of our Cadets attended a Avon District Sea Cadets weekend at Weston Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets. A huge congratulations to LC Lydia and LC Noah who both successfully completed their Leading Cadet Board. You both put a lot of hard work into preparing for this weekend and the promotions are well deserved.

Congratulations to OC Kelsey who completed her Basic Peer Educator course, we look forward to seeing you put your new found skills into practice around the unit helping to instruct Cadets.

There has also been a lot of thanks and praise for Cadet Harry who attended the weekend to assist in delivering the Basic PT course. He is well on his way to gaining his next qualification with a view to becoming a PT instructor. BZ to all of you and all the other Cadets that attended the weekend

Huge congratulations to PO(SCC) Andrew Hull of City of Bath Sea Cadets👏🚣‍♂️

The hard work and dedication have officially paid off! PO Hull has successfully passed his Paddlesport Leader Provider orientation course.

This is a fantastic achievement that takes an immense amount of time, effort, and skill. Your commitment means we can continue to deliver top-tier, safe, and exciting waterborne adventures for our CFAV and cadets.

Thank you for leading by example and showing everyone what dedication looks like. Enjoy the well-deserved celebrations, PO Hull! ⚓✨

Our cadets have so many opportunities!

This week three of our older cadets have spent a fantastic week in ‘industry’ experiencing working life at BMT in Bath.

They’ve enjoyed using software to design ships, technical drawing, presenting to senior teams, learning about all the different routes into employment and hearing from different experts across the business. What a week!

Thank you to Lt Kelly, CI Wright and all at BMT who organised such an amazing experience. 👏👏

A lovely day at the South West Area Sea Cadets Regatta! Some great results from the Avon District Sea Cadets and a fantastic atmosphere as we got together with cadets from across the area... competing, singing and watching the staff team race! 😁

BZ to Able Cadet Lydia, Cadet Harry and Cadet Montgomery for your enthusiasm and teamwork! 💪

********STOLEN***********
On Sunday 21st June 26 we had our Rigiflex (powerboat) and drive on pontoon stolen from the River Avon between Pulteney Bridge and Cleveland Bridge. It is unbelievable that one or a group of invidiuals would steal from a youth organisation where cadets can learn so many different skills. This has meant that the cadets will now loose time from being on the water this season. The pontoon had its morning lines cut and has now been found near Widcombe. The powerboat has also been found upstream and is now secure. If anybody saw anything or has any information please pass it onto us or the police so that the offenders can be caught. If you have any cameras that face the river please can you check them. Recovery of the pontoon will take place over the coming days.
