A: We meet every Tuesday night at 7.30pm at Thirsty Meeples, Gay Street, Bath, BA1 2NT. Q: I’ve never played these games. Does that matter? A: Not at all. None of us have played everything and learning something new is a
ll part of the fun. Q: Do I need to let you know I’m coming? A: No. You can just turn up on the night. Be sure to say you're with Bath Gaming Group when you arrive. Q: What time do people usually get there? A: People usually start arriving from 7pm, ready to begin gaming at 7.30pm. Q: Is it okay for me to get there a bit later? A: We start at 7.30pm sharp, which means if you’re there at 7.30pm, you’ll definitely get to play. Arriving later than that, even by a few minutes, means that games will have already started and, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that you can join in. Q: What time do you finish? A: Usually things start winding up sometime after 10pm. However, Thirsty Meeples are licensed until midnight and are happy to stay open until then if it's busy. Q: Can I come alone? A: Of course! Q: Which games are available? A: Thirsty Meeples is a board game cafe with over 1000 games available for us to pick up and play. Q: Can I bring my own games? A: Yes, that's fine. All of Thirsty Meeples games are labelled, so if you do bring your own game along it should be easy to tell it's not theirs. Q: I’m only interested in playing a specific game (e.g. Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, etc.). Can I come and just do that? A: Whilst we do sometimes play those games, that’s not our main focus. You’re probably better off looking for a group dedicated to the specific game you want to play. Q: Is there an entry charge? A: Yes. The cost is £5 per person provided you also buy refreshments, otherwise it'll be £7.50. This is payable to Thirsty Meeples, who will keep a tab for each customer. You'll settle up with them when you leave.
