Under 3 months to go! The 3SG Volunteer Fair is back for 2026 - and we’re moving to Bath Abbey! 🏛️✨

Since launching in 2023, the Volunteer Fair has always brought an amazing buzz to the local Third Sector community, but this Autumn is set to be extra special as we take over the iconic Bath Abbey for the first time.

Here’s what’s in store on Thursday 22nd October (11am - 3pm):
🛍️ 50+ Charity Stalls: Meet amazing local groups doing vital work across Bath & North East Somerset.
💡 Free Talks & Workshops: Topics covering wellbeing, personal development in volunteering, skills-based volunteering, and volunteer management.
☕ Coffee & Cake: Grab a warm drink, relax, and soak up the atmosphere inside the Abbey.
🎟️ Free Entry & All Welcome! No registration needed to visit - just drop in at your own pace!

🚨 CHARITIES & COMMUNITY GROUPS:
We have only about 8 exhibition stalls left! If your organisation wants to recruit new volunteers and share your work under one roof, snap up your stall before they’re all gone. 3SG members, drop us an email to book yours! [email protected]

A little re-introduction...🎬 We’re 3SG, Bath and North East Somerset's membership network and infrastructure charity for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector.

For nearly a decade, we've been by the side of local charities - championing their work, amplifying their voices, and helping them thrive even when the going gets tough.

From training and resources to one-to-one support, funding and advocacy to volunteering, we exist to make sure no Third Sector organisation in B&NES feels like it's going it alone. We connect our members to each other, to decision-makers, and to the opportunities that matter - because we believe the sector is stronger when it works together.

This video brings that belief to life. Hear from the people at the heart of 3SG - our team, our members, and the partners who understand just how vital a connected, supported Third Sector is to this community.

We're sharing this beautiful new video at a really exciting time. We've recently launched our new organisational strategy for 2026–2029, opened the doors to our new ThirdSpace charity hub, and refreshed the look and feel of 3SG to reflect who we are today and who we're growing into.

🤝 Diving deeper into charity-business collaborations.

Earlier this week, the team hosted a Charity-Business Partnerships event as part of our Meet Your Match series, a series dedicated to connecting charities and businesses. While we usually love our speed-dating-style events (they’re fun, fast-paced, and full of energy!), this time we wanted to shift gears and explore something even more meaningful. We took a deep dive into what these partnerships truly mean for both sectors and how we can encourage them in ways that create real impact.

The morning was nothing short of inspiring. Our fireside chat, led by Jane Montague MCIOF, a true expert in the sector and Anita Jaynes from The Business Exchange South West, covered everything from the importance of due diligence in partnerships to how we can all collaborate more effectively. The conversation was rich, thoughtful, and packed with valuable insights.

After the chat, we hosted a roundtable discussion where attendees generously shared their experiences, reflections, and ideas. It was incredible to see so many organisations coming together, brainstorming, and figuring out how they could work side by side for the greater good of our communities.

The energy continued over a networking lunch, where the buzz in the room was undeniable. Watching new connections form was a reminder of just how powerful these collaborations can be.

This event left us feeling energised and hopeful. We’re already excited about how we can build on this momentum and create even more opportunities to support these vital connections.
