💙💛 VARSITY 2024! 💛💙

It’s been a pleasure to support this year’s Varsity with , as Bath sports teams battled it out against Cardiff Met and came out victorious for the 7th year in a row!

Backstage are a student group, providing technical support including event power, designing and operating live sound and lighting, rigging pyrotechnics, and running video streams (alongside 💚)

A huge well done to everyone involved in the planning and rigging of this event, and a big thank you as ever to our alumni support!

Are you a student at and think you might be interested in the technical side of events and theatre? Get in touch - we’ve got something for everyone, and you can get involved with no prior experience!

FRESHERS WEEK 2023: T-5 days until launch! 🔥🎉

We're super excited to be providing technical support again for this year's Freshers Week with The SU University of Bath - check out some of our favourite photos from last year!

From sound, to lighting, stage management, pyrotechnics... there's so much to get involved in behind the scenes at our big events - and you don't need any prior experience to join the society and get stuck in!

Want to find out more? Come and find us for a chat at the Groups Day on the 28th - we'll be running backstage tours of the arena all day!

The annual T**S (Totally Integrated Theatre Societies) Charity Quiz is back for another year! Join us on Monday 24th April in the Plug and Tub, together with members of BUST and BUSMS, to create a team and compete in a big quiz (and mini-games!) for a ton of prizes!

This event is in support of Alzheimer’s Research U.K., and all funds raised will be going towards this brilliant charity! 🧡

Check out your emails for links to prizes and team signups, and grab your tickets from the BUSMS SU page before they go!

Exciting news - it’s today!

Here’s some photos from Bath Uni’s very own theatre society ( )‘s recent production of The Visit, at the Mission Theatre in Bath’s city centre.

As always, it’s a huge pleasure to be working with BUST, and off-campus events like these give us a chance to experience working in venues outside of our regular two theatres.

A big well done to all who worked on this show! 💛

There’s been a bit of radio silence on our socials recently 😅… but we’ve been up to LOTS so far this semester!

Here’s a recap of what our members have been doing - starting with BUSMS Main Show, Grease!
This being our biggest theatre show of the year, we had people getting involved with sound, lighting, set design, stage management and more - and combined with a brilliant cast and PT we can sincerely say (in all sincerity!) that we’re all very proud of the end result 💛

BUST Freshers Show: When We Are Married

The first of our two freshers’ shows this year - with crew roles aimed at first-timers and no experience required, these shows are a great way to dive in to the society and have a go at something completely new. With training and mentorship provided for every role by the more experienced members of the society, the show was a great success, and a huge well done to everyone involved 💛

Kicking off the year with our first theatre show, BUST Returners: The Duchess of Malfi. Our relatively small crew worked alongside BUST’s incredibly talented cast and production team to bring this Jacobean revenge tragedy beautifully to life (…or should that be to death?)
