On Saturday we returned to Odd Down Cycle Track for our second inclusive cycling challenge 🚲 The weather was pretty similar to last year so there was some more singing in the rain, but between downpours our team managed to complete 55 laps of the track! This included Keith cycling for the first time since his stroke 💪🙌

Thanks to Luke and the team at All Cycle - Bath&West for helping us have fun with your fab selection of adaptive bikes!

You can sponsor us here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/voacycle2026 - all funds raised will help our aphasia choirs to keep on singing 🎶

Bath and Bristol Aphasia Choir’s Joint Performance at the Bath Abbey

To kick off our summer events, the Bath and Bristol Aphasia Choirs had a joint performance at the Bath Abbey. The choirs were performing as part of the lunchtime recital series, on Wednesday 6th May 2026.

The members of both choirs had a lovely time singing together at Bath Abbey. It was a very special and memorable occasion to be able to perform at this grand and iconic venue in the heart of Bath with a beautiful acoustic. It was wonderful to see friends and family members of Voices of Aphasia supporting the choirs and we were delighted to see visitors to the Abbey stopping to listen to our performance! The sunshine of the abbey almost kept the members from seeing the screen, but it gave us wonderful lighting for the photographs of the event!

Some of us went to dine at a nearby restaurant for the post-performance social, which really put a lovely ending to the performance day. We were really pleased to have performed there and would definitely like to do it again next year!

The videos are of our mash up version of 'Oh When the Saints' and 'Swing Low', and 'All You Need Is Love'.

Our day was excellently photographed by Asa Doktor

Help the Bath Aphasia Choir to keep singing!

Voices of Aphasia does not receive any funding from the NHS or Local Authorities, and our specialist aphasia choirs are funded entirely through donations and grant funding. Small charities across the UK are competing for ever smaller pots of funding, and we are constantly applying for grants, but without this funding our amazing choir will not be able to carry on singing together in 2026.

Please support us if you can this festive season! All donations will directly fund our Bath Aphasia Choir sessions, paying for our experienced Music Therapists to lead the sessions and our venue hire costs.
