Come and talk to Wera Hobhouse about the weather. Go Green Widcombe is hosting a free screening of Chris Packam’s People’sEmergency Briefing. A panel discussion with Wera Hobhouse MP and others will follow. Find out what the science says and what we can all do. 5 August at 7pm at Widcombe Social Club.

Join us on 10 June for free talks on saving energy at home. Hosted by Go Green Widcombe, the talks at the Widcombe Social Club will cover heat pumps, ventilation and government grants. There will also be time to chat to the specialists one to one. Doors open at 6.30 and talks start at 7pm. Book your free place at gogreenwidcombe.org.

April is the perfect time for a stroll round Abbey Cemetery in the sunshine. The views are far reaching beyond the bare trees and the ground is a mass of primroses, anemones, English bluebells and celandine. #

Visit the national collection of historic tulips within the glorious gardens of Blackland House. Our private visit on 21 April will include a private tour of the formal, walled, and productive and cutting gardens, followed by hot drinks and cakes in the walled garden. As we approach the end of Winter, Go Green Widcombe are sending out this final reminder for local households to borrow their Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) to identify potential cold spots around your property (be that windows, doors, attic, walls etc). This will give you an idea of where you need to consider taking action to reduce heat loss.
