TEMPORARY TOWPATH CLOSURE - 24 SEPT - 9 OCT

We have heard that the Canal and River Trust will be carrying out works to improve and resurface the canal towpath section from its junction with Bathwick Hill towards Widcombe, as far as the Abbey View Lock (see map, below: closed section in red). These works will mean the towpath will be closed from Thursday 24 September until Friday 9 October. The alternative route follows the roads marked in green on the map.

As soon as we hear when the next section, to Widcombe, is to be completed we will send out details.

As we approach the end of Winter, Go Green Widcombe are sending out this final reminder for local households to borrow their Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) to identify potential cold spots around your property (be that windows, doors, attic, walls etc). This will give you an idea of where you need to consider taking action to reduce heat loss.

For more information visit our website: https://gogreenwidcombe.org/thermal-imaging/

If you want to book the TIC, then email us at [email protected].
