Andy Burnham's personal story about his father's Alzheimer's has brought dementia back into the national conversation.

His story is a reminder that behind every dementia diagnosis is a person, a family and a future that can be profoundly changed by the impact of the condition.

At ReMind UK, we believe stories like this also highlight why dementia research matters. Every breakthrough in diagnosis and treatment starts with research, and every study starts with people.

We've all read about what's good for our brain health so why visit ReMind UK's Brain Health Clinic?

"The difference at the Brain Health Clinic is the personalisation. Because the team assess cognition, mood and physical health together, they can provide specific, individualised feedback."

That's how Ian Waller, Editor of The Bath and Wiltshire Parent magazine, described his experience after visiting our clinic.

Everyone's brain health is different. Our clinic provides personalised advice and a tailored plan to help you take positive steps for the future.

Changes in memory or thinking doesn't automatically mean dementia. Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is a condition where memory or thinking changes are greater than expected for someone's age, but don't significantly affect day-to-day life.

Sometimes these changes can be caused by treatable conditions such as stress, anxiety or physical health problems. While some people with MCI may go on to develop dementia, many do not. Understand more - https://www.reminduk.org/mild-cognitive-impairment/

If you're concerned about changes in your memory, speaking to your GP or having a memory assessment can help identify the cause and ensure you receive the right advice and support 💜
