It's noticeable how much litter on our streets is thrown from cars..

For decades we have been urged to “keep Britain tidy” through public information films and adverts, but the rising tide of litter on our roadsides continues apace.

A new front is opening up in the battle against litter, with a group of pioneering councils using dashcam footage and AI-powered CCTV cameras to hit vehicle owners with large fines.
