By reputation Plockton, Highland, United Kingdom is one of the most beautiful spots in the Highlands. In reality, it absolutely is. A great stop - the 18th- on our Big Bear Voyage 2026 for BBC Children in Need between Tobermory, Argyll and Bute and Stornway on the Isle of Lewis. Great assistance from harbour master and key member of the Plockton community Jimmy Fergusson. Very many thanks to you.

Big Bear has a big mast! 23m high...So when we passed under the road bridge at Loch Alsh connecting Skye and the mainland, Big Bear skipper Jonathan Brewin and crewmember Pudsey Bear swapped nervous looks. The pilot books said we'd have plenty of clearance but from underneath it never looks enough. Another moment on our 2,200 mile voyage Round Britain for BBC Children in Need!

Tobermory, Isle Of Mull was the latest stop on the Big Bear Voyage 2026. Great news! We're closing in fast on the 50% of the £70k target thanks to many new friends Pudsey is meeting on our 2,200 mile round Britain voyage, including those at The Mishnish. Top effort from Big Bear's current crew including Pam Pickup, Garth Pickup, John O'Connor & Kate Rigby. A big milestone for our special crewmember Pudsey Bear was passing the westernmost part of mainland Britain, Ardnamurchan Point, as we continue our way north.
Keep the Likes, Shares & Comments coming. It really does make a difference for our fundraising efforts for BBC Children in Need!
Let's burst through 50%!

Brilliant evening at the Crinan Hotel. Pudsey Bear met owner & distinguished artist Frances MacDonald, visiting her studio. The guests and hotel staff generously supported the Big Bear Voyage 2026 for BBC Children in Need. They made Pudsey and his crew mates especially welcome, even making him a cake presented to Pudsey by Niamh Brady on behalf of the fantastic hotel team. Excellent hospitality on the West Coast of Scotland. Thank-you!

As historic yacht clubs go, the Royal Northern & Clyde YC is outstanding. Formed from the merger of two clubs, the origins go back to 1830 and is currently based in Rhu, near Glasgow. America's Cup challengers have flown the club's colours, Galatea (1886) and Thistle (1887). But today it hosted Pudsey Bear, joining-in a Pirates themed children's party. This was the latest stop in the Big Bear Voyage 2026 for BBC Children in Need. Big thanks Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club. Pudsey really got into the swing of things with the Pinata game, although the chocolate coins which spilled to the ground when the pinata broke weren't for him! Great fun for Pudsey and all Pirates, young and old!

Pudsey's visit to Glenarm Castle was our 25th fundraising event for BBC Children in Need and 13th stop on the Big Bear Voyage 2026BearVoyage Round Britain. Pudsey himself met Lord Antrim along with many visitors to the Glenarm Castle gardens. They are justly famous as is the estate's produce. We cooked Shorthorn beef steaks onboard. Very happy and hungry bears!
Shout out also to Ken Rankin, harbourmaster at Glenarm Marina run by Mid & East Antrim Borough Council. Genial, helpful and could not have done more for the yacht & crew of Big Bear.

Pudsey! Pudsey! Pudsey! That's what the children at Seaview Integrated Primary School PTA shouted enthusiastically today when Pudsey Bear arrived in Glenarm, Co Antrim. Pudsey Bear handed out Sports Day medals, hugged and shared high-fives. is our 10th stop on the Big Bear Voyage 2026 to raise money for BBC Children in Need with Pudsey aboard.
Thank-you SeaView for making Pudsey so welcome and for your donation!

Pudsey Bear is in Belfast. We went to the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont to meet John Blair MLA, the Deputy Speaker, who invited Pudsey Bear to his office and to sign the Visitor's Book. Pudsey Bear and the Big Bear crew were also shown the Assembly Chamber, the exterior of this famous building and the grand stair case. Here we were joined by Kate Nicholl MLA, an amazing supporter of the Round Britain Voyage. Big Bear skipper Jonathan Brewinhad an excellent dialogue with John Blair and Kate Nicholl about vital charity work. We're extremely grateful to these Assembly members. They were so generous with their time. Great to see Sarah Leeman & Colette Lydon from the BBC Children in Need Northern Ireland team as well. It's Sarah's selfie!
