With the colder weather now here and the ponds might be frozen you might think it’s cool to go and stand on the ice what’s not cool is if you fell through the ice and get hypothermia at its deepest point the pond is a metre deep which works out at maybe 3ft deep. Which for me I’m like 5ft 9 so 3ft it’s about half way give or take. Now I’m an adult. What happens if you on the ice alone and you fall in no one knows you get hypothermia which could lead to death. ? Not trying to scare you but be smart stay off thr ice. Sure manny of us has done it when thr old pond was in place but we all knew the dangers kids these days don’t. STAY SAFE. STAY ALIVE. STAY OFF THE ICE

If you want to skate go to the Basingstoke arena where it’s safe and controlled
