🎄 It’s Christmas Party Season – Look After Each Other 🎄
As work Christmas parties get into full swing, please remember to look out for your friends. Make sure everyone is safe and has a clear way of getting home. No one should be left behind or left to figure it out alone.
Last night whilst on Street Pastor duty we had a number of situations.
TRAINS
If you’re travelling home on a train and you’ve had a few drinks, take a moment to plan ahead:
🎄If you can, ask someone to wake you up before your stop
🎄Even better, set an alarm on your phone for a few minutes before you’re due to arrive
Last night we saw how easily things can go wrong, 2 different people end up in Basingstoke who should have been in London.
One person fell asleep on the train and ended up with a £170 quote for a taxi fare back to London.
FREINDS
Another was left by her friends and faced a very expensive taxi journey to another town. Both situations were avoidable with a little care - make sure you look after your friends.
🎄Make sure you have enough charge on your phone
🎄Christmas is about celebration, but it’s also about kindness, responsibility, and looking after one another.
Please make sure your night ends safely – and that everyone gets home without stress, fear, or unexpected costs.
💙 Take care. Look out for each other. 💙
It was great to be out with Faith, Remy, Trevor, our observer Janet who loved being out there helping people.
Have a great Christmas and New Year everyone 🎄🎄
