Held annually on May 17th, it marks the anniversary of the World Health Organisation removing homosexuality from its Classification of Diseases in 1990.

Whilst we’ve made progress, LGBTQIA+ people still face discrimination across the world every day.

This year’s theme “At the heart of democracy”, reminds us that equality and human rights must include everyone.

Today is all about celebrating the ace community and raising awareness of asexuality - an increasingly known and important sexual orientation where people can experience little or no sexual attraction.

Asexuality is a spectrum, and there’s no one “right” way to be ace; It might include romance and/or an unlimited range of relationship dynamics.

ALL of these experiences are and valid and we are proud to stand with our ace community 🏳️‍🌈
