The Pink Place A cancer diagnosis shatters lives and brings fear, anxiety and overwhelming uncertainty.

The Pink Place provides essential wellbeing services and support, helping adults with any type of cancer feel less alone and more empowered. A cancer diagnosis shatters lives, bringing fear, anxiety, depression, and overwhelming uncertainty. Research proves that emotional and psychological support empowers patients to navigate treatment, build resilience, develop coping mechanisms, and improve recovery outcomes. The Pink Place aims to address this and provides vital wellbeing services including counselling, mindfulness classes, complementary therapies, yoga therapy, and peer support to adults living with any type of cancer, from diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.

Weโ€™re almost sold out for this yearโ€™s Pink Place Fashion Show!

On Thursday 8 October, our wonderful Pink Place ladies will be taking to the catwalk at the Apollo Hotel, wearing fashion from local independent boutique No.1 George Street.

Thereโ€™ll be plenty of fun along the way too, with Prosecco on arrival, goody bags, pre-loved jewellery from Petra Jewellery and, of course, Basingstoke Firefighters joining us for Heads nโ€™ Tails and escorting our ladies down the catwalk. ๐Ÿ’—

Weโ€™re delighted to welcome Jane Harrington to The Pink Place volunteer team.

Jane is a local Mindfulness Practitioner and will be holding sessions for our guests, sharing simple practices that can be incorporated into everyday life.

Mindfulness can help us find moments of calm, particularly during times of anxiety and stress, by helping the mind to rest and focus on the present moment.

Jane runs a variety of Mindfulness sessions locally, and weโ€™re incredibly grateful that she has chosen to volunteer her time and share her experience with our Pink Place community. ๐Ÿ’—
