Village Trust - HELP!
A big THANK YOU to Hannah and her volunteers for putting on the Beats & Eats event tonight and Carnival tomorrow. They need a lot of help as the weather has decided to be a bit challenging. So if you can spare some time this afternoon from 3pm to put the marquees up - and stop them blowing away - or tomorrow morning from 9am that would be the best reward they can have.
These events raise funds for the Trust and for all the other village organisations so it is really important they are a success. PLEASE come and support them, and enjoy yourselves in North Waltham.

A reminder of all the fun we have lined up for you next Sunday to enjoy at our annual fete and dog show. Please do come and support our village organisations and charities running the stalls and games - bring cash as well as your cards!

Providing entertainment for our younger ones through the afternoon at our fete we’re delighted to welcome back “Nick Magic” who some will recall gave us an excellent show at our Coronation Street Party in 2023! He’ll be providing tricks and entertainment in the arena at 12:30pm and 1:30pm.

Excited to host Basing Clogs at our fete on 7th June. They’ll be performing two sets for us throughout the afternoon, at 12noon and 1pm. With audience participation as well as the performance this will be one not to miss!

OFM burgers return to the village next Friday, 29th May. Food served from 5pm in the cuckoo meadow car park!

Village Trust: Pavilion CLEANER VACANCY:
Our long serving cleaner is shortly moving on to another role after 9 years! So we need a new cleaner to do 2 hours a week (over the weekend from mid afternoon on Friday's) in term time and occasionally in the holidays. Very flexible on how it works. This involves cleaning the kitchen, floors throughout, toilets and emptying the bins. We pay usual rates on a self employed basis.

Delighted to confirm that Fire Dining (who have a family connection with our village) have generously agreed to hold open the food orders for another 2 weeks.

🚂 We’re so excited to be hosting Fire Dining’s BBQ Train (see pic below!) for both the Beats + Eats and Fete events over our Carnival Weekend. choo choo!

Beats + Eats event details:

* timings:6th June from 7pm
* tickets: £17.50 each and include entry and food
* ⁠food: brioche roll and salad with either meat (pulled pork) or vegetarian / vegan option
* ⁠music: Midbar Avenue are described as a party band so music across the eras and ages that’ll be good for dancing
