New Life Wood is a registered charity for South Essex working to change lives by helping to relieve unemployment and poverty. Supported by local churches, we provide work placement opportunities in the community for adults who find it difficult to access the job market and often fall into poverty, especially those with a past history of offending, addiction and mental health problems. Through this

work experience in our not for profit wood recycling project we offer training, mentoring and life/employment skills as well as day to day money management support and guidance. Putting it simply, we take lives and goods that others would discard, and provide the means to see those lives and goods renewed and become a valued part of our community. As an organisation we wish to reflect our Christian ethos, and help to transform, restore and enrich lives. We aim to offer our work placements an invitation, in a non-pressurised loving environment, to learn more about the Christian Faith which underpins our work. Each work placement volunteer is free to choose whether or not they would like to explore this opportunity further.
