Fearless Fin’s Monster March is back! 🎃👻

Get your costumes ready and join us for a spook-tacular afternoon of Halloween fun, all in memory of a very special little boy, Fearless Fin 💚

𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣: Sunday 25th October at 3pm
𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚: Watershed Studio, St Osyth
𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙚: 3km (or 2km accessible route)
𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮: Just £5 per person
Plus plenty of crafts & spooky surprises! 👻

Dress as your favourite monster, witch, superhero or anything wonderfully spooky and join us for a family friendly walk this Halloween 🎃

There’s no fundraising requirement, your £5 entry is all you need to take part! If you would like to fundraise for Lennox too, you’re more than welcome to.

Can’t make it on the day? You can also take part virtually anytime throughout October, wherever you are!

Fearless Fin’s Monster March is held in memory of Fin, who sadly passed away in 2022 aged just three. Fin absolutely loved Halloween and dressing up, and the Monster March was created by his mum as a special way to remember him, celebrate the things he loved and help other families affected by childhood cancer 💚

What a lovely afternoon at our Colchester SOS Group!🎃

We were joined by 6 families and 10 children for some Halloween fun, including pumpkin carving, painting ceramic pumpkins and decorating biscuits!

We also had some very special visitors thanks to Eden Exotic, who brought along rabbits, bearded dragons, guinea pigs, a hedgehog and a tortoise. But the star of the show was definitely the armadillo!

A big thank you to Eden Exotic for joining us and to all our wonderful families who came along. 💛

Our Battlesbridge SOS Group is taking place this Saturday 17th October, and we’d love you to join us!

A huge well done to Bailie from Morgan Sindall Construction and her boyfriend Aleks who took on a skydive in Beccles to raise money for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund! 💛

Together they raised an incredible £875 to help support children and families affected by childhood cancer.

Despite being scared of heights, Aleks absolutely loved the experience, especially with the amazing views on the day! And for Bailie, this was her second skydive, with her sights already set on a wing walk next year! 👀

We’re so grateful for your support and for choosing to raise money for Lennox. Thank you both! 💛

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Dupliq for hosting their Annual Charity Golf Day on Wednesday 16th September, in aid of Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund.

It was such a brilliant day from start to finish, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came along, took part and helped make it so special.

Dupliq’s continued support means so much to us. Days like this are about far more than just golf - they bring people together, raise vital funds and help us continue supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer.

We recently welcomed Adam and his family to Amberwood Lodge in the New Forest for a respite break! 🌳💛

Adam was diagnosed with Wilms tumour at just 4 years old and has since completed his treatment.

Adam’s mum shared:
“Thank you so much for giving our family an opportunity to stay in Amberwood lodge. We have had the best weekend away and accessed lots of different activities, going to local beaches and enjoying weather. We are very grateful for all the memories that we were able to make while we were there.”

We’re so pleased Adam and his family had such a wonderful weekend away, enjoying some quality time together. 💛

Our respite breaks give families affected by childhood cancer the opportunity to spend time together, relax and make precious memories.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 💛

We’re looking for 9 volunteers to join us at Southend United’s Roots Hall Stadium on Saturday 24th October!

Southend.Fc will be taking on and we need some helping hands for our match day bucket collection to raise vital funds for children and families affected by childhood cancer.

And the best part? You’ll receive a FREE ticket to watch the match! ⚽

Meet Mia 💛

Mia is now 7 years old and was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour on 31st December 2024, just after Christmas.

Her family’s world was turned completely upside down and what followed was a journey none of them could ever have imagined.

Mia had 6 weeks of chemotherapy before undergoing laparotomy surgery in February 2025 to remove the tumour and her left kidney. She then went on to have a further 6 months of chemotherapy.

Her family spent most of 2025 in treatment at Bristol Children’s Hospital, with Mia’s ongoing follow-up care now taking place in Exeter.

Chemotherapy brought so many challenges. Mia lost her hair, experienced extreme sickness, and at times was taking up to 8 different medications a day to help manage everything she was going through.

There was also a point where Mia completely lost her appetite and needed an NG tube for feeds. Watching her become so poorly and rely on a feeding tube was absolutely heartbreaking for her family.

Mia has also been left with neuropathy as a result of her treatment and continues to deal with the emotional and psychological impact of everything she has been through.

Her family say the hospital stays, procedures, chemotherapy, sickness, pain and uncertainty are things that do not simply disappear when treatment ends.

Mia continues to have 3-monthly scans, and although every clear scan is something to be grateful for, those appointments can bring back so much fear and emotion.

Despite everything, Mia has done absolutely amazingly.

She was only 5 when she was diagnosed and has now just turned 7. Seeing her slowly getting back to herself, becoming stronger, healthier, happier and doing the things she loves again is something her family will never take for granted.

On 18th September, Mia reached one year in remission - an incredible milestone after everything she has been through.

Mia has faced more than any child should ever have to, and she has shown a strength she probably does not even realise she has.

We are so proud to share Mia’s story. 💛

Our October SOS Groups are getting a Halloween makeover! 👻🎃

Join us for a spooky afternoon of pumpkins, creepy crawlies, arts & crafts and plenty of Halloween fun at our Colchester and Battlesbridge groups this month.

Our SOS Groups are free monthly support groups for families affected by childhood cancer, giving families the chance to meet others who understand, make friends and enjoy activities together. 💛

📍 Colchester - Saturday 10th October
📍 Battlesbridge - Saturday 17th October

Whether you’re already part of our SOS community or haven’t joined us before, we’d love to see you there!
