375 DAYS IN THE NICU… AND SHE’S FINALLY GOING HOME.

To the mama sitting beside her baby’s NICU bed wondering, “When will this finally be over?” — please hold on to hope.

Little Raelynn Kubiske was born at just 23 weeks, making her the smallest surviving baby by weight at her hospital. Her journey included 375 days in the NICU, extensive medical care, and even open-heart surgery.

And now… SHE’S GOING HOME.

Her story is such a beautiful reminder that even when the journey feels painfully long, there can still be a beautiful ending waiting on the other side.

Mama, I know you’re tired.
I know you’ve cried.
I know some days you’re simply surviving.
I know watching your baby go through procedure after procedure is a kind of pain words cannot fully explain.

But take it one day, one milestone, one prayer at a time.

Your NICU journey may not look like Raelynn’s, and there are no guarantees that every story will unfold the same way. But today, let her homecoming remind you that long journeys can still lead to beautiful moments.

Keep showing up for your baby. Keep celebrating the tiny victories. Keep taking pictures. Keep hoping. And on the days you don't feel strong, it's okay to simply breathe and get through that day. ❤️

My daughters don’t remember their NICU days. How could they? They were still so little—so, so little. 🥹

And now, looking at them today, I can’t help but wonder… where did the time fly to?

Those tiny babies who once fought so hard are growing into such amazing young ladies. The NICU may be a chapter they don’t remember, but it’s a chapter I will never forget.

Today, all that matters is watching them grow, thrive, and reach every milestone along the way. Every step, every achievement, every new season—I get to witness it all. And for that, I am forever grateful. 🙏🏽

This is how a little 27-weeker looks in the womb
At 27 weeks, your baby is growing rapidly and developing amazing features:

*Eyes: They can now open and close, responding to light.
*Skin: Still thin and reddish, but starting to get more fat underneath.
*Movement : Strong kicks, stretches, and even tiny hiccups!
*Lungs: Developing rapidly, practicing breathing motions.
*Brain: Active, forming connections, and starting to regulate sleep cycles.

At this stage, your baby is about the size of a large cauliflower, and continues to grow in strength and awareness every day.

Keeping your baby warm and healthy is crucial, they’re still delicate and need support to thrive!
