We are a joint Methodist / United Reformed Church LEP (Local Ecumenical Project) in Barry, South Wales and we manage The Bridge Between Comunity Centre, an open access, purpose-built community facility in Barry's Waterfront development. We are an ecumenical church in Barry, South Wales, formed from the joint congregations of Porthkerry Road Methodist Church and Windsor Road United Reformed Church, now known as Barry Uniting Church. Our new church and community building, 'The Bridge Between', has been designed to reflect the needs of the community on the Waterfront and in the wider Barry area. The building was completed in July 2021 and we opened for use in September 2021 with a range of activities, facilities and bookable spaces for the local community, in conjunction with our project partners, Purple Shoots. We are home to Lana's Community Cafe and Vale People First and we have a registered Changing Places toilet facility which is available for public use whenever the building is open.
