Swap Siop! Barry’s Big Clothes Swap is Back

Dig out those wardrobe wonders you’re no longer wearing and give them a new lease of life! It’s time for our summer Swap Siop – a fun, friendly clothes swap for grown-ups (because the kids shouldn’t get all the preloved goodies).

Here’s how it works:
👕 Bring up to 5 good quality items of adult clothing (no holes, bobbles or dodgy zips, please).
👗 Pop them on the rails.
🧥 Then choose up to 5 new-to-you pieces to take home. Simple as that.

PLUS:
We’ll have our usual ‘pay what you like’ table – think books, accessories, plants, oddments, whatever you fancy passing on. All donations go towards our building fund, helping us fit a new accessible toilet and kitchen at Eto.

When:

🚴‍♀️ Got a bike or scooter gathering dust? 🛴
We need your help – and we need it soon!

Bike Week at Eto is just around the corner, and we’re on the lookout for donated bikes, scooters, helmets, and safety gear to get them road-ready for local families.

To give them a second life, we need time to check, fix, and tune them up – so if you’ve got something to pass on, please drop it off as soon as you can!

Every donation helps another family get moving – it’s reuse in action and community looking out for each other. 💚

📍 Drop off at Eto, 83 Holton Road, Barry during opening hours 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday.

Let’s keep good gear out of landfill and into new hands – because secondhand doesn’t mean second-best.

🌟 We’ve got some wonderful news to share… 🌟

Our brilliant Community Volunteer Director Harriet has been nominated for the Bro Radio Community Awards – and we couldn’t be prouder! 🧡

Harriet has been the heart and soul of Eto Preloved Kids Store, supporting hundreds of local parents with everything from cloth nappy advice and baby-wearing tips to peer support with breastfeeding and gentle encouragement over a cuppa at our coffee mornings.

She’s always there with a kind word, a listening ear, and the kind of quiet strength that makes a world of difference to mums who are struggling.

A true community hero – and we’re so lucky to have her. Well done, Harriet – your kindness, dedication and big heart inspire us every day!
