Happy Sunday from all of us here at Castleland Community Centre! We have some wonderful activities lined up for you today:

⛪ Starting off our day from 09:30 to 13:30, we have GodFirst. They are part of a growing movement of churches that are passionate about advancing the gospel through church planting and strengthening local churches.

⛪ Following that from 13:45 to 16:45, we welcome The Church of Pentecost-UK. Their charitable objects include advancing the Christian faith, relieving sickness, relieving financial hardship, promoting and preserving good health (by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind, including counselling) and advancing education in such ways and in such parts of the UK.

🎭 Running from 3–4 PM, we have the LAMDA Drama Group with Kate! LAMDA acting classes offer a fun and creative way to explore performance, from fairy tales and Shakespeare to modern theatre and imaginative characters of all kinds. Held every Sunday at Castleland Community Centre, sessions are open to anyone wanting to try acting for fun or build confidence, with the option to work towards recognised LAMDA qualifications. Classes cost £10 per hour, with taster sessions available.

Good morning everyone here at Castleland Community Centre! We have a brilliant day of activities lined up for you today, so come on down and join in the fun

At 09:00 we have Dinki Dragons, a fun-filled football session for young toddlers. It is a wonderful way of keeping fit and active whilst learning to listen, have fun, learn new skills and make new friends, followed by a fun baby introduction to the world of football through independent play and some structured activities

Then at 09:30 it is time for Chaos Choir. Chaotic by name, chaotic by nature! They are an a ca****la, harmony choir that is smaller in size but big in personality and inventiveness. They do a massive mix of styles and genres and would love to have a handful more of people join, and they do live performances but not too often

Later this evening at 18:30 we welcome back Friendly Bingo, one of our longest running groups where everyone is welcome. Refreshments such as tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches are also available, featuring bingo, hoy, fliers and raffles for all ages

Starting at 10:00, we are so pleased to host the SEND Academy, which runs until 15:00. 📚 This fantastic initiative aims to help young adults with learning difficulties develop skills to enter work or volunteer placements. 💪

Good morning everyone here at Castleland Community Centre! We have a wonderful lineup of activities for you today.

🧘‍♀️ Starting off at 10:00, we have the Flying Start Parent and Toddler Yoga running until 11:00. It is a lovely way to spend some quality time together!

💃 Later in the afternoon, we welcome the Olivia Fleur Dance Academy from 16:00 until 20:15. Established in 2023, they are offering RAD Ballet and Tap classes for ages 3 and up in various locations across Barry.

Swedes are good, swedes are good....🎵

Come along to today at Castleland, we have Potatoes, swedes, tomatoes a lovely Greggs selection, a stocked pantry and pet food courtesy of Pet foodbank service 🐾

Doors open at 1pm for where you can enjoy a hot drinks whilst you wait for your ticket to be called when the food doors open at 1:30pm.

Please remember to bring your own carrier bag with you 🙏

Onsite support services this week are provided by The Nelson Trust and Vale Employability (communities for work plus), just give them a knock, no appointment needed.

Good morning everyone, here is what is coming up at Castleland Community Centre today!

We are ready for another fantastic day here at Castleland Community Centre, and we have lots of great activities lined up for you today.

We kick things off with The Nelson Trust Drop In and Group Sessions. The Nelson Trust’s women’s centres provide support and a warm and safe women-only environment where a wide range of problems and challenges can be addressed in a non-judgmental way, guiding and empowering you to make positive changes in your life. 👭✨

Next up, we have Communities For Work Plus (VOG). This is a free drop in, no appointment needed general support and advice service provided by Communities For Work. 💼🤝

Also happening this afternoon, we have our Foodshare & Warmspace. The Warmspace opens to take your ticket at 1pm, and Foodshare opens at 1:30pm. There are free and donation items available, just remember to bring your own bag. Everyone is welcome! 🍲☕🛍️

Later on, get ready to move with Miranda Lee Dance. They offer dance classes and private tuition of Ballroom and Latin dancing for adults, and they also host dance weekends, Balls, and themed dances. 💃🕺✨

Rounding out our day, we have Narcotics Anonymous. If using drugs is causing problems in your life, NA can help. NA exists solely so that its members can support each other to stay drug free and to help others achieve and maintain a drug free recovery and lifestyle. It is completely free to attend our meetings. 🫂🌱💚
