We are looking for volunteers to join our Board of Trustees. Whether you've been involved in Scouting in the past or not, if you want to see local young people taking part in adventurous, skill building, accessible and inclusive activities, we'd love to hear from you. Trustees meet once per term and also call the Annual General Meeting. Trustees form a vital part of any voluntary or charitable organisation and are involved in development and governance. If you'd like to join our Board of Trustees, contact Martin Evans via [email protected] for an informal chat.

Happy Founder's day to all our members and to anyone who has ever been a Scout. We also wish a happy World Thinking day to current and former members of the Guides.
Today is the anniversary of the birthday our founder and World Chief Scout, Lord Robert Baden-Powell. We're grateful for the spirit of adventure and friendship he instilled in the Scout movement and that lives on in all our young people.

Remembrance Sunday 2025
Big thanks to all our members, adult volunteers, parents, and family who support our attendance at Remembrance Sunday events, not just here in Rhoose but across the country.
In a well-attended community Remembrance Sunday event here in Rhoose we had a 36 young people and 14 adult volunteers on parade. All our Beavers Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, and Explorer Scouts did the occasion justice and were excellent.
I mentioned across the country, and we had 2 Scouts and an Adult volunteer at the National Service of Remembrance in Cardiff and one Scout attending the commemoration in Llancarfan. Plus, one Cub Scout, proudly wearing his uniform and our colours at the National Service of Remembrance in London.
Attendance at Remembrance Sunday Celebrations were over 70% in all youth sections and a special mention to our Fourovus Explorer Scout Unit with a 100% attendance.
All told, some 54 members of the Scout Group on parade this Remembrance Sunday, da iawn pawb a diolch i gyd.
The Scout Group would like to thank Jeff James for his invitation for the Scout Group to play a part in this community's commemoration of Remembrance Sunday.

We are inviting all family, friends, and supporters of the Group to pop along at 7:30 and for the donation of 50p to this year’s Children in Need appeal we will provide you with a mug of freshly prepared soup and bread roll in the warm space of our Scout Headquarters, Penkerry, at the top of St Curig's Close, Rhoose.
