At the March Barry Repair Cafe an elderly man came in confused about how to report his meter readings on the app with his provider sending notifications and things asking him to.

It’s not exactly what they do at the repair cafe but the admin woman there helped him do it anyway. He was so grateful and I suspect it put his mind at rest too.

Our February cafe was possibly one of our busiest cafes - you obviously missed us as much as we missed you!
Here are the numbers:

64 repairs in total 😲.
33 fixed 🥳.
8 Repairable and 11 still in repair 🛠️.
2 Mysteries 🕵🏻.
10 End of life🪦.

We also had donations of £48.07 , thank you so much!

We're back this Saturday 7th at Barry Library from 10am, so come along.

We're back at Barry Library celebrating Fix It Feb - and we are open until 1pm!

Our team of volunteers will fix your stuff for free (personal items only, no businesses). Our golden rule is if you can get it through the door and it's not a microwave, we'll give it a go.

We're back at Barry Library for our first repair cafe of the year this Saturday 7th from 10am until 1pm.

It's also Fix It Feb so what better time to bring us your broken items and get them fixed for free!

A reminder that we are NOT at Barry Library today as our volunteers take a well earned rest.

A reminder that there is no Barry repair cafe in January but we will be back on Saturday 7th February at 10am at Barry Library for our first event of 2026, refreshed and well rested!

We are looking for new volunteers to join us next year so if you want to get involved - let us know!

It's time for an end of year numbers wrap up, who's ready 🥁

This year we had a total of 482 items through our doors - that's incredible!
And we fixed 247 of your items, totally for free!

That means this year we had 51.24% success rate and we think that's pretty impressive!

A very Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone! We will see you on 7th February next year.
