We look forward to joining the Patient Experience Team today at Llandough Outpatients between 10 - 12pm. Pop along and speak to us regarding all things unpaid carers. We look forward to seeing you!
Anyone could be an unpaid carer, a 15-year-old looking after a parent with and alcohol problem, a 20-year-old looking after a sibling with a mental health condition, a 40-year-old caring for their friend who has terminal cancer, a parent looking after a child with a disability, or an 80-year-old looking after their partner who has dementia.
This week is Carers Week, and this year's theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities. In support of this, our Patient Experience team is holding information stands at University Hospital Llandough, which will be open to anyone who would like to access information or advice on the support available to them as an unpaid carer:
•Tuesday 9th June, 10am-12pm – Outpatients Department Reception, joined by TuVida
•Wednesday 10th June, 10am-12pm – Hafan y Coed Reception, joined by Adferiad.
An information display will also be available within the information and support centre in Concourse of University Hospital of Wales all week for anyone unable to attend the stands at University Hospital Llandough.
