When you first contact our Bureau you will have a brief assessment interview with one of our workers. At this point we will discuss with you how we can help deal with your enquiry. We may provide you with information or initial advice, make an appointme

nt for full advice or signpost or refer you to a specialist advice provider. We ask that people contact us via phone or email so our drop ins can be used for people who really need it most

TOMORROW /// 👉All are welcome at Allotment Soup: The Isle of Walney Community Growing Space on on Saturday 6th June for our Community Open Day in celebration of the Great Big Green Week. This year’s theme is Together for Good. Drop in for a range of art and nature activities running through the afternoon.

Family activities include:

Big Up Barrow! Printmaking with artist, Tom Philipson - bring t-shirts, cloth bags or charity shop finds (or use ours) and practice block printing with a new logo promoting Barrow’s green future.

Take part in a Birds in Green Spaces survey guided by Amelie Pohl from the RSPB and contribute to this important national initiative.

Hear the latest update on the Earnse Project from Ros Nichols (Natural England) and learn how you can get involved.

Meet the Art Gene team - have a go at Hapa Zome printmaking using plants from the allotment, make a bird box to take away or take a tour round the site (including our new orchard).

The event is free and all are welcome. Enjoy complimentary afternoon tea on us.
