Every job has its ups and downs - today’s were more literal.
And what a joy to get a sneak peak, and a first ride, at North Devon National Trust new Woolley Woods Outdoor Hub. A great new development on their Arlington Court estate opening up more possibilities for North Devon.
Over the years I’ve been to lots of sets of jumps - years ago they were tucked away in hidden places usually unwelcoming and inaccessible. I’m so glad things have changed. It’s good for riders and good for communities. What a gift! Thanks to all those who’ve made it happen.

We’ve had a busy session today getting 4 bikes ready for sale.
All of our bikes are properly serviced before we put them up for sale - any worn or or damaged parts are replaced and everything adjusted so it’s working smoothly. Bikes that work properly are always a lot more enjoyable to ride.

(And if you don’t need it anymore why not part-exchange their old one)
All our bikes are serviced and safety checked before they leave us.

Everyone knows at least one bike nerd. Do yourself a favour and get them to witter on about spoke lengths and chain wear to someone else!
We need volunteer mechanics to help us produce beautiful pre-loved bikes to get others into cycling. A second hand bike may not be new - but that means it’s not impacting the environment as much, and it means better value for money (a quality second hand bike will ride and last much longer than a new cheap bike).
So, get in touch and come and help us out.

That was a busy day in the Little Bike Van! We were out and about collecting a lovely lot do donated bikes and bits. It’s a genuinely amazing story so we’ll tell it properly soon.
With more bikes comes more opportunity to volunteer. So, if you like a fettle get in contact and pop along to help us get these bikes back on the road where they belong.
