The Voice Choir North Devon’s lively, friendly choir! Men and women of all ages from across the area, who love to sing. Great for mental health and wellbeing.

NO auditions, NO experience needed. FREE taster session. Wednesdays 7:15pm Rugby Club The choir meets at The Rugby Club, Barnstaple, on Wednesday evenings from 7.15pm to 9.00pm. Have you ever wanted to sing but never had the courage …. then this is for you! Have you ever wanted to sing with other people rather than on your own …. Have you ever wanted to make more of your voice …. Come

and join a group of enthusiastic people from all walks of life who love to sing – no need to read music and no experience necessary. We sing for fun and also perform. We have members from across North Devon from Barnstaple to Bideford, Ilfracombe to Torrington, South Molton to Morthoe and everywhere in between. Our choir leader is Jackie McGowan Hayes a Natural Voice Practitioner. Jackie previously ran a community choir in Dorset called The Dolly Spartans and since moving to Devon she has helped with the North Devon Community Gospel Choir and run singing workshops in North Devon and North Cornwall. The Voice perform several concerts each year, mainly in support of charities. They are also available for Weddings and other celebrations. FOLLOW ON INSTAGRAM

Thinking of trying our choir? Here's what our member, Wendy, says about her experience...

"I joined The Voice choir in 2010. A friend had said come along and I haven't looked back since. Each week, even when I think I'm too tired to go out and it's cold and wet, I'm so pleased I've gone there. It really is a tonic. Friendly, encouraging people who I honestly can call good friends … and fabulous music which touches the soul. I think we make a wonderful sound. Jackie, our leader, is so patient and gets the best from us.

Mick, my husband, came to watch our performances and couldn't help joining himself. Now he's hooked! I would recommend The Voice Choir to anyone. Even if you think you can't sing, I guarantee you’ll gain so much confidence and will, like me, be wanting to sing at any given opportunity! "

Who would like to sing, meet new friends and generally have a bit of fun? We’d like to invite you to join us for a FREE Taster Session on a Wednesday evening in Barnstaple.

The Voice is North Devon’s lively a ca****la choir and we’re looking for men and women of all ages and abilities to join us. No experience is needed and you don't have to read music either. It’s relaxed and uplifting, we’re not stuffy and we sing a massive mix of music styles.

Not just that - it's not all about the singing. We have a great social life together enjoying a whole range of get-togethers and outings. Our members are all great friends and we'd love you to be part of it!
