Thinking about running the TCS London Marathon in 2027? 🏃‍♀️

There is now less than a week left to apply for one of our charity places! ⏰

The deadline is Tuesday 30 June at 5pm, so be quick if you want your application to be considered 🙌

The exciting news is that the event will now take place over 2 days. Our charity places are for the original Marathon date of Sunday 25 April. 📅

Please note we do not currently have any charity places available for the Saturday event.

The ballot results are expected at the start of July and we know many people will be eagerly refreshing their inboxes. 📩

If you are fortunate enough to secure a ballot place, you can still choose to run for Team CHSW and support local children and families. 💚

Thinking of you all this Father's Day 💚

Today we are sharing Dad James' words about the friendships and support he has gained through spending time with other Dads he has met through Little Harbour's 'Dad's in the Loop' group:

"I first went along for a couple of reasons: partly to support Richard running the sessions and CHSW but also to stop my wife Sam going on at me about getting some grief support! However, I found that by joining other dads, I have made some firm friendships and put aside time for myself and the grief I feel over losing Seth.

As a bereaved dad, it can be hard to reach out and say that we’re struggling. Over the time of Seth’s illness, I had to be strong for him, for Sam and our other 3 boys but no one can be strong all the time. I’ve realised it’s ok to acknowledge that grief is hard and that being in the company of other people with similar stories can be helpful. At Dads in the Loop, there’s no pressure to talk at all if you don’t want to but it does give me the opportunity to talk about Seth and how difficult our journey has been, as well as hearing other dads talk about their children and the love they have for them.

We hear a lot in the press now about Men’s mental health and it’s easy to dismiss it and just carry on, but I have found that meeting other dads and having a conversation, sometimes some laughs, maybe shedding a discreet tear or 2 in a place where you feel supported can make all the difference. The sense of friendship and support within the group is what makes it such an important event."

WOW! 🤩

What a fantastic day at Rainbow Run Cornwall! 🌈

The sun was out and the vibes were incredible. 1,400 runners and walkers had a day full of all colours of the rainbow with so many smiles and memories made. 🙌😊

Having participants from all over Cornwall, Plymouth and beyond has meant so much, and incredibly they have collectively raised a staggering £110,000 (whaaaaaat!) to support vital care for families. 💚

Over 12 years, this event has now raised £1,000,000! 😮

Thank you to our incredible venue RAF St Mawgan, our 200 volunteers, 8 sponsors, entertainers and vendors who we simply couldn’t have done this without. ⭐️⭐️

Happy Rainbow Run, see you next year! 👋

We are grateful for Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales’s support during Children’s Hospice Week 2026 💚

“Children’s hospices are joyful and nurturing environments where children can simply be children; to play, explore, express themselves and connect with others."

Her message shines a light on the joy, connection and expert care that children’s hospices like CHSW provide to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
