Because it was such a massive success, the North Devon Beekeepers' Association is officially running a SECOND Taster Day later this season!
If you've ever been buzzing with curiosity about what happens inside a beehive, this is your second chance this year to step into a suit, handle a live frame of bees, and learn the ropes from local experts.
Whether you're looking for a unique weekend experience or seriously considering taking up the craft, our Summer Taster Day is the perfect, fully-hosted introduction.

Join the Devon Beekeepers Association (Northern Branch) for a hands-on Beekeeping Taster Day! Whether you’re dreaming of your own garden apiary or just curious about the secret life of bees, this is your perfect "first look."

🐝 Seen a Swarm? Don't Panic - Here's What To Do! 🐝

We've had our first couple of swarm enquiries this year. A swarm is a natural process where bees are relocating to a new home and might look the cluster pictured)

If you spot a swarm and would like it safely collected by a local beekeeper, please follow these simple steps:

1. Head to the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) Swarm Collectors Map. 🗺️ You can find it here: www.bbka.org.uk/Pages/Category/swarm-removal
2. Scroll to 'Step 3' on their page.
3. Enter the approximate postcode of the swarm.
4. Details of your nearest registered swarm collector will be displayed. Please contact them directly
