We’re opening up The Lotus to our local community as a safe, welcoming and supportive space for people to come together.

Our rooms are available to hire for:

💜 Peer support groups
💜 Small events and activities

At Resolute, we believe in the power of community. The Lotus is more than a building — it’s a place of connection, support, hope and healing.

Every booking helps fund our life-changing work with women and families affected by domestic abuse, meaning your room hire directly supports a survivor-led local charity.

This is something myself, Deborah Jones, and Deborah Alderson have fought hard to bring into reality.
We have pushed, challenged, campaigned and used our combined knowledge — my frontline work with victims and survivors, my lived experience, and Deborah Alderson’s 30 years in policing and safeguarding — to make sure this system is shaped by the real risks women face every single day.
Because victims should not be the ones forced to change their lives, move homes, live in fear, or constantly look over their shoulder.
Perpetrators should be monitored. Victims should be protected. And systems must finally start listening to the women who understand the reality of domestic abuse.
Technology alone is not the answer — but when it is trauma-informed, properly enforced, and built with survivor expertise at its heart, it can be a vital part of saving lives.
We are proud to have played a role in bringing the proximity system into reality, and we will continue pushing to make sure victims’ voices remain central as this pilot moves forward.
This is what happens when lived experience, frontline expertise and determination are finally heard.

Maya is doing something truly incredible for Resolute. 💜
She is taking on the Esk Valley Epic — an amazing 36 mile run — to raise vital funds for our charity so we can continue supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse.
At Resolute, we know that support saves lives. Every pound raised helps us provide trauma-informed care, safe support, and hope for those who need it most. Right now, these funds are desperately needed, and Maya is pushing herself to the limit to help us keep showing up for survivors.

Cohercive control kills! FACT!!!
Coercive control does not have a “type.”
It can happen to anyone, in any relationship, and it is never the victim’s fault.
Too often, people think abuse only looks one way. The truth is, coercive control can be subtle, isolating, and deeply damaging — and it can make leaving feel frightening and dangerous.
We must challenge the myths, believe survivors, and make sure women and children get the support they need.
