At BIADS, we’re proud to offer a safe, welcoming space for people living with dementia and the families who care for them.

Our Day Centre gives families something truly invaluable — peace of mind. Knowing their loved one is spending the day in a supportive, stimulating environment means carers can rest, work, attend appointments, or simply take a moment for themselves.

For the people who attend, it’s a place to enjoy company, take part in meaningful activities, build confidence and feel understood.

For families, it’s a chance to recharge without guilt, knowing their loved one is safe, engaged and cared for by a team who truly knows them.

We’re welcoming a brand‑new week with plenty of smiles, meaningful activities, and the warm, family‑like atmosphere our members love. Mondays here are all about connection — sharing stories, enjoying music, keeping minds active, and creating moments that matter.

Our members have enjoyed a whole range of activities — from creative crafts and games to shared laughter, friendship, and those little moments of joy that mean so much.

Every session is designed to support confidence, connection, and well-being, and it’s been fantastic to see everyone getting involved.

🎉 A HUGE thank you to everyone involved in making Vault 27 Vault Fest such a fantastic success! 🎉

What an incredible way to celebrate their 1‑year anniversary — and all while raising money for BIADS. We’re so grateful for the support, the hard work, and the amazing atmosphere on the day.

The total raised will be announced soon, along with plenty of brilliant photos from the festival. In the meantime, if you’d like to help us reach the final target, donations are still open and very much appreciated 🙏

🌼 A Sweet Afternoon at the Day Centre! 🌼

Our members have been busy this week — and what a treat it’s been. From sifting flour to adding the final dollop of jam, everyone rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into a lovely baking session. The room was full of chatter, concentration, and plenty of laughter.

And of course… the best part came afterwards. Freshly baked biscuits, a warm cuppa, and good company. Simple moments, but they’re the ones that make our days feel so special.

We’re so proud of what our members create together — memories included 💛

💙 Julie’s Story – Running for BIADS, Powered by Mo 💙

We’re incredibly proud to share this heartfelt story from Julie and her amazing team, who are taking on the Barnsley 10K in memory of her mum, Mo (Maureen), and to raise vital funds for BIADS.
Julie’s mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in June 2020 and became part of our BIADS family through our Day Centre. Our team supported her with kindness, dignity, and understanding — helping her take part in activities she enjoyed, make new friends, and feel truly at home.

For Julie, knowing her mum was safe, happy, and cared for meant everything. It gave her peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time.

Sadly, Mo passed away in August 2025.

Now, in her memory, Julie and a wonderful group of family and friends are coming together as Running for BIADS – Powered by Mo to help us continue supporting other families facing dementia.
And they’re doing it with humour, heart, and determination — even if the last time some of them ran was after the ice‑cream van in summer!

They will run for Mo.
They will run for every family affected by dementia.
And they will run to support BIADS.
