Monday 31 August is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD), the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember those who have lost their lives and recognise the grief of their families and loved ones.

IOAD is also about raising awareness of overdose, reducing stigma and encouraging open conversations about overdose prevention.

We are so incredibly proud of our wonderful IPS team who had a successful first recruitment and partnership event at Barnsley Libraries

The highlight of the event was seeing people who were supported by the specialist employment team talking about their success in employment, training, and developing their own groups and businesses.

We are so proud to be a part of this 🥰 A member of our HOPE team sits with the amazing Alcohol Care Team every day, and we are so grateful to sit with such a kind and compassionate team.

💙Teamwork, Kindness and £550 Raised! 💙

👏 A huge well done to our fantastic Alcohol Care Team, who have raised an incredible £550 through a raffle in support of patients at Barnsley Hospital! 💙

A special shout-out goes to Deborah, who went above and beyond to create the beautiful, thoughtful prizes that made the raffle such a success. Your creativity and generosity are truly appreciated 💐

The Alcohol Care Team does an amazing job every day, supporting patients affected by alcohol-related issues. They provide specialist advice, early intervention and compassionate support, helping people improve their health and wellbeing while reducing alcohol-related harm.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, donated prizes and supported the raffle. Together, you're making a real difference for patients across our hospital 💙
