This week is Cervical Screening Awareness Week, held by The Eve Appeal to share information on cervical screening and tips to encourage as many people as possible to attend cervical screening ('smear tests').

Did you know?💡Cervical screening is estimated to save around 5000 lives a year in the UK!

If you're aged 25-64 and have a cervix, make sure you book your next cervical screening appointment if you haven't already, and remember that it is normal to be nervous, but there is support available including from The Eve Appeal or your GP who can answer any questions or worries you might have 🌸❤

This week (15th-21st June) marks Learning Disability Week. An annual awareness week held by Mencap, aimed to increase visibility and increase public knowledge of what living with a learning disability is really like. Part of the aim for this week is also to celebrate what individuals with learning disabilities add to society ❤🤝

There are many ways you can show your support, including educating yourself and others on the realities of life with different learning disabilities, and even visiting your Local Mencap Barnsley charity shop! 👀

This World Cup feels different for a lot of reasons. Whatever it looks like for you, we just want you and your mates to stay safe ❤

If you’re choosing to drink or use, take a moment to look after yourself and each other.

Scroll for simple harm reduction tips, and share this if it could help someone you care about 🙏

Can you help us? 🌱

We’ve been gifted a MASSIVE allotment plot by Barnsley Council and we’re so excited to get started… but we’ve got a big job ahead. There’s fly tipping and plenty to clear before we can bring it to life.

Our vision is to create a welcoming community allotment a therapeutic, supportive space where people can build confidence, learn new skills, give back, and connect through peer support.

We’re looking for green fingered volunteers, community groups, services, and local businesses who can offer time, skills, or materials to help us make it happen.

If you can help, or know someone who can, please get in touch. And if you can’t support right now, a share or reaction would mean the world and help us reach the right people 💚

Kerry Townend is back to chat with you 💛

She’s raising funds to bring joy to children impacted by family addiction. Every child deserves moments of laughter, fun and feeling safe, but for many those simple childhood experiences can be missing.

Your support can help change that by funding days out, activities, parties and trips throughout the year, creating safe, happy spaces where kids can be kids ✨

Every contribution helps create lasting memories and reminds these young people that they are seen and valued.

If you can, please support. Head to the comment section for the link to donate. 🥰
