Looking for a fun, engaging, and supportive environment for your child with SEN?

Join us at True Colours (charity no. 1211846) for sensory play and craft sessions that your little ones will love! ✨ We are a registered charity (1211846) for children and young people with additional needs and their parents/carers. Our sessions offer arts and crafts, dance, music, sensory play and games building on self-esteem, confidence, well-being and social interaction in a non-judgmental saf

e environment. The group is also a supportive place for parents/carers to share experiences and advice if they wish. Our sessions take place during term time on a Thursday evening 5:30pm - 7pm at Worsborough Community Centre. Looking for a fun, accessible way to get moving this summer?

☀️Join the What's Your Move Barnsley free inclusive summer event! This friendly day is created specifically for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions, but it is open to absolutely everyone.
Come along, try something new, and move in a way that works for you!

Here are the details:
📅 Date: Thursday, 9 July 2026
⏰ Time: Drop-in anytime between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
📍 Location: Barnsley Metrodome (Rear Entrance via Car Park 4)
🎟️ Cost: Completely FREE!

Activities include:

Our True Colours of Courage celebration is nearly FULLY BOOKED! 🌟

🌍 OPEN TO EVERYONE! 🌍
As part of Refugee Week, this event is open to the whole community! Whether your family is long-term Barnsley resident, new to the area, or from a refugee background, you are so welcome. We are coming together to celebrate diversity, unity, and courage in a safe, SEN-friendly, non-judgmental environment.❤️

What’s waiting for you:

🥣 Taste-safe sensory play

🧱 Building blocks & soft play zones

🎨 Arts & crafts (pebble painting & heart decorating!)

🍎 Safe snacks & calming sensory lights

🐰 Small animal experience

What an amazing session at True Colours SEN group! We had so much fun meeting our baby chicken visitors. Everyone was incredibly brave holding and petting our fluffy new friends. So proud of all our superstars! 🐥 They are very tired now but looking forward to visiting again next week 😀

There’s lots happening for Learning Disability Week in Barnsley!

Join us on Monday 15 June at the Lightbox Library for a big event with the Big Purple Bus, stalls and activities.

You can also visit the ArtWorks exhibition at Barnsley Civic , running all week, or come along to the Music Festival on Friday 19 June at Shaw Lane Sports Club from 10am
