How much money do you need for a Base71 session? 💷

Around £3.50 is plenty!

That can cover your 50p entry, a £1 hot meal and leave enough for a tuck-shop treat or drink.

We always have free water and dilute available too, so there’s no need to bring lots of money. Just bring yourself and get ready for a brilliant session! 😄

Did you know that Base71 is a charity? 👀

We work hard to give Barnsley’s young people a safe place to go, trusted people to talk to and more than 20 brilliant activities to enjoy.

Donations and fundraising help us provide skilled youth workers, equipment, activities and a welcoming space where young people can make friends, build confidence and discover what they love.

This International Day of Charity, we’re asking our community to keep Base71 in mind. Whether you make a donation, take on a fundraising challenge or choose us as your workplace or group’s charity, your support helps keep our doors open for Barnsley’s young people.

After out short break we are back and better than ever! 😄

We are kicking things off with our regular Saturday Juniors session 10am to 1pm and out SEND Sunday session 10am to 1pm!

Our session times will return to normal with the first Senior session back Tuesday 5pm to 9pm.

We hope you have all had an amazing summer and can't wait to see you all again!

Start your morning with good conversations, fresh ideas and a light breakfast at Base71 Youth Zone.

Join us on Tuesday 22 September, from 8.30am–10.30am, for a relaxed Business Breakfast Networking Event featuring Peter Wright from Digital Law. Peter will be exploring The Safety of AI in Business and what organisations should consider when introducing AI into the workplace.

It’s a chance to learn something useful, meet other local professionals and take a look inside Base71 to discover more about the work we do with Barnsley’s young people.

New to Base71? You’ve got this! 🙌

Walking into somewhere new can feel a little daunting, so our team will be ready to help you find your feet.

Once you have signed up as a member, there’s no need to book our regular sessions. Simply come along, check in at reception and get ready to explore!

Our regular Junior and Senior sessions are a drop-off service, so we ask parents and carers to collect their young person again at the end of the session. Different arrangements are available during our dedicated Inclusion sessions to help members with additional needs feel comfortable and supported.
