☀️ School's Out... Adventure Begins! ☀️

Looking for something fun, active and creative for your young person this summer?

Our brand-new Summer Holiday Clubs for ages 8–14 are packed with exciting activities, new experiences and plenty of opportunities to make friends, build confidence and have fun.

From scaling the climbing wall and getting creative in the arts room, to dropping beats in the music studio and competing in our famous "Rec" games, there's something for everyone!

🍽️ Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks included
📅 Holiday Clubs begin on Monday 20th July
📚 We know some schools may break up later that week, so families can book the dates that work best for them

Are you passionate about boxing, martial arts, and helping young people build confidence and resilience? We’re looking for Sessional Youth Workers – Boxing & Martial Arts to deliver safe, fun, and engaging sessions that inspire young people to develop new skills, stay active, and reach their potential.

You’ll help create a welcoming and challenging environment within our boxing suite and martial arts area, provide guidance and supervision to young people, and support the delivery of an exciting programme that promotes personal development through sport.

If you have experience in boxing, martial arts, or combat sports and bring energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to supporting young people, we’d love to hear from you.

The new series of our Project Zone programme kicks off on Wednesday 24th June and runs through to Wednesday 19th August 🎉

Sessions are just 50p per session and, unlike our usual drop-ins, spaces must be booked in advance.

⚠️ Places are limited, and projects are designed to be booked as a full block to get the best experience and outcomes for young people.

You’ll deliver activities, build confidence, and support young people to have their voices heard.

Agnes, Carla, Charlie, Curtis, Dee, Ellie, Fleur, James, Natalie and Olivia are running the 10K and are raising funds for Base71.

Every day, our team makes sure that Base71 Youth Zone is a fantastic experience for the young people across the Barnsley Borough. Show them how much their hard work means to you by sponsoring them in the 10K.

Every gift, no matter how large or small, makes a difference and will be so appreciated.

Our team of 20 colleagues and supporters are taking on the Barnsley 10K to raise funds for Base71, Barnsley newest independent charity supporting young people aged from 8 - 19 (25 with additional needs).

Our Youth Voice group was busy at Project Night showing Base71's support for our members and colleagues from the LGBTQ+ community. At Base71 we are proud to be an ally, and our Youth Zone is a safe space for all.

Base71 Youth Zone is looking for a Digital Marketing Officer to help shape and deliver vibrant communications across our social media channels, website, and marketing materials. This exciting role is at the heart of how we connect with our members, supporters, and wider community.

You’ll use your creativity and graphic design skills to:
✨Create engaging social media content
✨Keep our website updated
✨Design posters and promotional materials
✨Support communications and community engagement

🕒The role is up to 18 hours per week, spread across three or more days, including some evening work until 6pm and occasional weekends.
