I need to clarify some points in regard this group, what it's purpose is and it's responsibilities. This is because people are under the impression it's to do with anything connected to the park and is beginning to result in unpleasant messages being received as to why things haven't been done.
This group is primarily concerned with volunteering for litter picking, organising group litter picks (which have been uniformly unsuccessful) arranging litter picking equipment to be supplied and as a liaison point with the council in regard to litter in the park.
This site has always tried to assist enquiries not connected to that primary objective, for instance fallen tress, obstructions in the park etc.
I have been guilty of widening the scope of this site by adding details of projects I have undertaken to increase the enjoyment of the park, but this is primarily a personal thing I decided to undertake.
We have nothing to do with the fishing in the park.
In regard to wildlife I am more than happy to post such pictures that are sent to me. However when it comes to deaths of wildlife this must be reported by the person who comes across it to the following government department. DEFRA contact 03459 335577.
I get so many comments/questions about this and I am only a volunteer who like yourselves has many other activities I undertake and therefore am not sat constantly on the computer or phone.
I will not accept comments or messages which I perceive to be rude, obnoxious or in anyway cause ill feeling. Those who do will be blocked from this group.

Afraid to say all cygnets appear to have died. Looks like potential poisoning or something in the water

My Chilean Lantern Tree in full bloom. If I could remember where I bought it from I would get one for one of the raised flowerbeds in the park
