Emergency waiting list update.

Of the 18 on the list, 8 have already secured help with another Rescue. Epic!!!! 😻

To enable people to see where they are on the list we will try to update this fortnightly.

If your name isn't on the list, please contact us to let us know, if you think you have been missed out. Any mistakes are accidental, we are under a lot of continued pressure, any mistakes are unintentional and we apologise.

Surrenders - must provide proof of up to date vaccinations, neuterering, medical history and transfer the microchip to us.

Strays - must provide proof of location found, approximate length of time in location, and efforts taken to find owner ie microchip check, paper collar, post on Facebook lost and found pet pages in area cat found.

Once a place has become available, it will be held for 24 hours.

Please understand we are a small rescue, we are unable to provide accurate or approximate wait times. It is all dependant on the speed of rehomes. If a cat comes in unvaccinated, it will be at least 4 weeks before that cat can be rehomed.

HEATHCLIFF HAS A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT…

Dear humans,

I’ve been in rescue for a while now and, quite frankly… I’m getting bored of looking at the same four walls.

I’ve done the sitting.
I’ve done the staring.
I’ve done the “maybe someone will come and choose me today” routine.

And do you know what I’ve discovered?

HUMAN STROKES ARE THE BEST THING EVER.

So now I have a new plan…

I need my very own human. Someone who will stroke me, fuss me, tell me how handsome I am and generally make me feel like the king I know I am.

I’m 2 years old, I’m a super-friendly boy, and I’ve blossomed in rescue. I’ve realised that humans are pretty wonderful… I just need one to finally realise that I’m pretty wonderful too.

I promise I’ll provide excellent company, plenty of purrs and absolutely no judgement when you talk to yourself.

Please don’t let Heathcliff spend another day waiting for his forever home.

He’s ready. He’s friendly. He’s waiting. And he REALLY wants some proper human cuddles.

Urgent Repairs Update

Last winter 4 of our pens took an absolute beating, leaks everywhere. Every day was a battle to keep our kitties safe and dry.

Last month after a few rehomes all at once we made the hard decision to not take in any more cats until we could get the repairs done. Heartbreaking because our emergency waiting list is and has been for the last two years, so long. Ultimately the decision was necessary. They wouldn't survive another winter, especially if it was as wet as the last one.

We'll be reopening our doors to these pens shortly so this evening I'll be contacting everyone on the list to see if our help is still needed. As some date back to earlier in the year I imagine they will have been helped by now.

We'll then publish the list fortnightly to enable you to see where you're up to on the list. We will only publish the cat's name.

If you're on the list, please bare with us. We will help as soon as we can. I know it is frustrating having to wait, but like all the other rescues in the area, we are constantly inundated, on average 5 calls a day, strays, injured cats, pregnant cats, feral colonies, owners with allergies, deaths, moving home, new partners, job losses, the list goes on and on.

Please note if you are surrendering your cat, we are a small rescue. If your cat is not neutered microchipped, or up to date with their vaccinations, you will need to do this before surrendering them to us, or cover the cost of our vet doing this for you. We will need their medical history to enable us to pass that information on to our vet to ensure they are given the care they need as soon as possible. A cat without ailments will not take precedence over a poorly cat, we just need to know what we're dealing with as soon as possible.

Update!!!!!
