Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Barnsley Sea Cadets will be held at:

Time: 1900 hrs
The meeting will conduct the following business:
Agenda
1. Apologies for absence
2. Opening address and comments from the Chairperson
3. Approval of the minutes of the previous AGM
4. Unit Chairperson’s Report
5. Commanding Officer’s/Officer-in-Charge’s Report
6. Treasurer’s Report and adoption of the accounts
7. Election or re-election of Unit Management Team trustees
8. Any Other Business
Trustee nominations:
Anyone wishing to stand for election to the Unit Management Team must be formally nominated and seconded.

Completed nomination forms must be received by Thursday 1 October 2026.
Eligibility to serve on the Unit Management Team is governed by the unit’s charitable constitution and the requirements of the Marine Society and Sea Cadets. Any waiver of the eligibility criteria is at the discretion of the relevant Volunteer and Business Support Manager.
Newly elected trustees will be required to complete the necessary application, disclosure and trustee declaration documentation. They will also be expected to complete the required online training and induction within the specified timescales.
Please note: Items of Any Other Business will only be considered where they have been submitted in writing to Lorna Smith at least 24 hours before the meeting.
