Friends of Vellore UK have been instrumental in promoting CMC’s work amongst smaller mission hospitals in India. We began by funding the first three years of the Mission Network Consultant post at CMC which has now been absorbed into CMC’s ongoing budget and sits within a recently created Missions Department. If you haven't yet seen Be Thou My Vision – Part 1, the documentary telling the story of Dr Ida Scudder and the founding of CMC Vellore, it's now free to watch on YouTube. Released on CMC's Founder's Day in December 2025 as part of the hospital's 125th anniversary celebrations, it has since been watched by thousands of supporters and friends around the world.
