Map entries will close tomorrow (Tuesday 12th) lunchtime so they can be printed... we don't post the map online because we need you to come to the community centre to pick one up and possibly buy a cake, mug of tea/coffee, a bit of bric-a-brac or have a go on the tombola because that's what funds BOCA putting on these type of events...

We're on the final countdown to next Saturday's Garage Sales! The map will be finalised soon so if you do want to sell but haven't been in touch yet please do before it goes to print... and don't forget the Pump Track demo day is on the same day (the latter is not a BOCA event, its being organised by Barlestone Parish Council)

Only a month to go! BOCA will be at the Community Centre 10am to 12 noon with maps, refreshments and their own bric-a-brac but sellers can set up and close whenever they want (its on their property after all!). We know some prospective buyers will be "cruising" early for bargains x Adverts have been sent to The Graphic and Community Voice magazines, telegraph pole posters have been up for a while (thanks to a volunteer) and the big signs on the A447, etc will be out later in the month... you don't have to be on the map to take part but it might help buyers find you if you are! Lets hope for fine weather x

Here we go again!!! the ever popular Garage Sales will be back on again this year - hopefully the weather will be kind (I set out last year in a T-shirt to take photos and bought a 50p sweatshirt from one householder as it got colder during the morning!!!!)... details are on the poster.

Its our AGM on 9th March - anyone welcome, even if you just want to hear want we've been up to and what we are planning....

DATES FOR 2026....

Our AGM - 9th March starting at 5.30pm; anyone welcome to join us either as a regular member or just someone who would like to help at any of our events (making tea/coffee, serving cakes, etc etc - there's always a job for any ability!). It's not going to be a long meeting but will include an update on our planning so far for 2026 events.

Garage Sales - 16th May... you'll see a poster very shortly but anyone who wants to set up can message either the BOCA Facebook or Cathie Watkins; other contact details will be on the poster. Although Cathie will try to catch everyone who just comments on the post, when its done, much better to include a tag...

Village Fun Day and Not-So-Serious Dog Show - 1st August; we already have food vans, an ice cream man, small funfair/bouncy things booked and quite a few stalls... stalls are outside and you'll need your own table, gazebo (if required) and Public Liability Insurance if you want to join us; £10 for commercial stalls, free for charities, churches, local groups, etc. No cake stalls, food or tombolas please

Indoor Car Boot Sale - 3rd October; the usual format x

A new thing! Craft Fair - 31st October; similar format to the Indoor Car Boot but specifically for the craft type stalls x

Fireworks Night - 5th November; the much loved village event but we do need a few extra volunteers please just to man/woman the inside stalls and do various bits like helping with the BBQ serving...

The Village Fun Day & Not-So-Serious Dog Show will be going ahead again this year! Saturday 1st August 12 noon until 4pm - more details to follow!!!

The BOCA Quiz planned for this Thursday has had to be cancelled; hopefully to be re-arranged for sometime in 2026...
