To the residents of the Bardney area:
I have made enquiries about the proposals regarding housing developments locally. Government policy and the land owners' expectations to maximise profit on the sale of land is leading to discontent. A petition rejecting new builds behind the Co-op and the comments on the West Lindsey planning portal leads me to think we are not clear about why we may object. I personally have no objection to new housing being built, but this is a big BUT. We need more and better facilities to enhance the lives of residents, NOT to dilute existing services. Within the application is a mention of Lincolnshire County Council response. Suggesting the Section 106 financial contribution made by the developer will not include any monies for the Bardney Primary School. Maybe a project that was prepared 4 years ago is now more urgent before new builds continue to be approved in the Local Plan. The old Local Plan from 2017 indicated the available land for housing development to be more than 1424 homes. (Corrected figure after double checking the original plans). The current approval is a lot less but who knows what the future holds. I have attached a downloadable PDF for residents to read and make comments on my website https://www.oldpennydesigns.com/local-plans/
