Epsom Rotary Club

Epsom Rotary Club Epsom Rotary is about community, charity, fun, volunteering and friendship and is open to all This year we are fundraising for small, local charities.

Each year the club is involved in a range of local community events. The club organises the annual Epsom and Ewell Borough Family Fun Day with the Rotary Club of Ewell. There are gardening sessions at Old Moat Garden Centre and we have created and now maintain the Community Allotment together with Ewell Rotary. The club also runs the local Young Musician, Young Photographer, Young Chef and French

Speaking competitions annually. We have also helped to marshal the Sport Relief Mile at Nonsuch Park in previous years and will marshal the Cancer Research UK Race for Life event at Epsom Downs Racecourse this year. And of course there are the annual Christmas collections around Epsom. The club has a varied social calendar with recent events including bowling, crazy golf, supper club in local restaurants, and a trip is planned to visit Superbloom at the Tower of London with local veterans. Being part of a large, international organisation we also have the opportunity to compete against other local Rotary clubs in the district sports competitions. This year we are competing in badminton, snooker, bowling, pool and quizzing. Charity events have included The Epsom and Ewell Showcase and quiz nights and of course much more and late last year raised a significant amount for cancer research by holding a silent auction. We always welcome new members to increase our good community work.

Family Fridays was reasonably well attended yesterday but everyone inevitably so overwhelmed with the extreme heat and humidity. Epsom Rotary again marshalled and held a craft stall with various activities for children to include making friendship bracelets.
