Running together for a cause close to our hearts! 💗

Yesterday, Rosie’s Trust staff and some Board members took part in the Pink Run, raising an incredible £2,575 for Cancer Focus NI 🎉

At Rosie’s Trust, we see the devastating impact cancer can have on individuals and families every day through the work we do. More recently, cancer has also affected our own team personally, making yesterday’s event all the more meaningful to us.

It was a fantastic day, filled with laughter, plenty of pink, and lots of team spirit!

We know how important the work of is, and yesterday was a lovely reminder that charities can work together to make a difference, and support each other.

A massive thank you to everyone who donated and helped us raise such a brilliant amount. A special shout out to who have shown us endless about of support over the past few years and made a very generous £1,000 donation to our fundraiser.

We're very proud of our little team, some who had never ran a 5k before but pushed themselves to cross that finish line!

For all those currently facing cancer, those going through treatment, and the families and loved ones supporting them. Yesterday was for you.💗

So grateful to Groomsport Parish Church for choosing to support Rosie's Trust at their Harvest Pet Blessing this Saturday at 2pm. What a lovely idea to sing and pray for our beloved animals and all animals in need 🥰

Around this time next Saturday we'll be getting ready for our Harvest Pet Blessing at 2pm in our church building! 🐾 This will be a short gathering in our church building with two songs of praise and prayer for our animals & all animals in need... 🐕 🐕‍🦺 🦮 🐩

All humans & pets are welcome - don't worry about barking or noise as this is just them joining in! 🎉 (You can also come even without a pet too just to join in ☺️ )

This time we'll also be supporting the excellent work of local charity Rosie's Trust, which is 'dedicated to caring for people by caring for their pets'. There will be a box on the way out for donations if you'd like to give - entirely optional of course. ☺️

COULD YOUR BUSINESS GIVE A LITTLE SPACE TO ROSIE’S TRUST? 🐾

We’re looking for local businesses across Northern Ireland to help support Rosie’s Trust by taking one of our collection tins.

Whether you’re a café, shop, salon, pub, office, vet practice or another local business, those loose coins and small donations from your customers can quickly add up and make a real difference. 💚

Rosie’s Trust helps people who are living with cancer, terminal illness, disability and other health challenges to keep their beloved pets by their side when they need them most.

Each of our current collection tins placed out and about in the community raise an average of around £200 per year!
That money can help us respond when someone needs us – contributing towards things like an emergency vet bill, helping transport a pet to foster care while their owner is in hospital, or helping with the cost of volunteer kits.

Send us a private message if your business could take a tin and we’ll arrange to get one to you.

Thanks to Nicole from Pretty Pooches Grooming Retreat for taking a collection tin and also for being our cover model!

💚 Rosie’s Trust at Stormont

On Tuesday 15th September, some of the Rosie’s Trust team were delighted to attend the Macmillan Coffee Morning at Stormont.

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet with Macmillan staff, local Ministers and MLAs, as well as representatives from community organisations working closely with Macmillan across Northern Ireland.

More importantly, the morning created space for important conversations about what matters most to people living with cancer in Northern Ireland and how organisations can work together to provide meaningful support when it is needed most.

This is particularly close to our hearts at Rosie’s Trust. People living with cancer make up the largest group of beneficiaries we support, and we see first-hand the difference practical help with a much-loved pet can make during treatment, recovery and end-of-life care. 🐾💚

Thank you to Macmillan in Northern Ireland for inviting us.

💗 ROSIE’S TRUST IS GOING PINK! 💗

Now that our own Rosie’s Trust 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is behind us, some of our staff and volunteers are swapping organising duties for running shoes as we take on the ! 🏃‍♀️💕

This one is very close to our hearts.

A much-loved member of our Rosie’s Trust team is currently off work while undergoing treatment. We miss her hugely and wanted to do something special to show her just how much we’re thinking of her and wishing her well. 💗

So, staff and some volunteers have been training to take part in the Pink Run in her honour - including some of us who have never run before!

Through our work at Rosie’s Trust, we see every day the impact cancer can have on individuals and their families. This time, it has touched our own little team.

We’ve set up a JustGiving page to support Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, and we would be incredibly grateful for any donation, big or small. Every penny will help support people affected by cancer here in Northern Ireland.

And to our very special colleague, we miss you, we’re behind you, and we are thinking of you.
