We’ve got some exciting news to share this Easter week!
When we launched in September 2019 as Grace Church Family, we never imagined how our charity would grow over the years since. What started as a small church plant quickly developed into a significant community support project during 2020.
Since then, it’s been our privilege to help hundreds of families across the area through our Restart Social Supermarket, CAP debt services, Kintsugi Hope wellbeing groups, and more.
As we’ve expanded, we’ve realised it’s time to simplify things. Running two separate brands — Grace Church Family and Deeside Compassion — has created some duplication behind the scenes. Our support now also reaches beyond Royal Deeside into other parts of West Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City, so the “Deeside” name no longer fully reflects the full scope of what we do.
As such in recent months we have felt led to bring everything together under one name, and after careful thought we’re thrilled to introduce:
KingdomWay
This new name reflects our desire to walk with compassion and practical help in the way of the early church (known simply as “The Way”), while still honouring our roots in the Royal Deeside area.
Nothing is changing in the support we offer or the way we work on the ground. However, as part of this change we will be retiring the existing Deeside Compassion (now KingdomWay Compassion) social media accounts.
