Yesterday at Boysโ€™ Youth Club, we were delighted to welcome Zahid and Rashmi from who delivered an engaging and thought-provoking workshop with our older youth boys.

The session encouraged open and honest discussions around misogyny, sexism, gender-based discrimination, respect, and healthy relationships.

Our young people were highly engaged throughout, sharing their thoughts, asking questions, and reflecting on how their words and actions can positively impact those around them.

Creating safe spaces where young people can explore important social issues, challenge harmful attitudes, and develop empathy and respect for others is a vital part of helping them grow into confident, responsible adults.

A huge thank you to Zahid and Rashmi for facilitating such an important and meaningful conversation, and to our boys for their maturity, participation, and willingness to engage with the topic.

Together, we can help build a future based on respect, equality, kindness, and understanding.

A fantastic event, enjoyed by all.

OCF brings together grantees and funders for shared learning ๐Ÿซถ

Our innovative Thriving in Nature Fund, now in its third year, gave us the opportunity to bring together grantees and funders from the previous two grants rounds for a day of learning, discussion and connection.

In the beautiful setting of Asthall Manor representatives of charitable organisations shared how funding is being used, how projects are developing over time, and the changes they are seeing in the people they support.

Shabnam from Sunrise Multicultural Project in Banbury shared:

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ โ€œOur outdoor trips have been a key highlight. We had a visit to Wendover Woods which brought together 48 participants. For many of those people, itโ€™s basically the first time theyโ€™ve ever accessed that sort of natural outdoor space.โ€

We also heard from funders - individuals, trusts and businesses - about why they chose to support the Thriving in Nature Fund. As well as a donor into the fund, we are hugely grateful to RWK Goodman for sponsoring the event.
