🍽️– A Morning Full of Good Food, Friendship & Fun in Oxfordshire! 💙

This morning at our Men’s Cooking & Games Drop-In, we had the pleasure of welcoming Roz, who led our very first healthy cooking workshop with the group.

Our men rolled up their sleeves and got fully involved in preparing a delicious, nutritious meal together.

On today’s menu was a mouth-watering mushroom and cheese quiche, served with a fresh tangy salad, wholesome quinoa, spicy potato wedges, and to finish, a delicious homemade lemon posset. 🍄🥗🍋

A huge thank you to for supporting our Men’s Drop-In and making workshops like this possible. Your support enables us to bring people together through healthy food, learning new skills and building meaningful social connections.

It was wonderful to welcome some new faces today, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed cooking, sharing a meal and spending time together in such a warm and friendly atmosphere.

🎥 Take a look at today’s vlog for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the workshop and hear directly from our beneficiaries and volunteers about what they thought of our first cooking session!

🌍 Refugee Week at Sunrise Multicultural Project 💙

On Thursday, we were proud to celebrate Refugee Week with our wonderful beneficiaries, volunteers, staff and partner organisations at Britannia Road Children’s Centre.

Refugee Week is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience and contributions of refugees, while recognising the importance of creating welcoming communities where everyone feels safe, valued and included.

It was a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, strengthen community connections and showcase the incredible support available locally. We are incredibly grateful to all of the service providers who joined us and continue to work alongside us to help refugees and people seeking sanctuary rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our amazing partners for your ongoing collaboration, and to our dedicated volunteers and staff. Your compassion, commitment and tireless efforts make such a meaningful difference every single day. Thank you for going above and beyond to support those who need it most.

Together, we continue to build a stronger, kinder and more inclusive community for everyone. ❤️

🌸 Monday Cooking & Crafts Drop-In 🌸

What a lovely start to the week at our Monday Ladies’ Cooking & Crafts Drop-In! 💛

This week we were delighted to welcome Milly from Bridge Street Community Garden, who joined us to begin a beautiful paper flower-making project with the ladies. 🌺 It was wonderful to see everyone getting creative, learning new skills, and enjoying time together.

In the kitchen, our amazing volunteers prepared a delicious and nutritious meal of rice and kidney beans, served with fresh vegetables. 🍚🥕🥬 As always, the food brought everyone together for great conversation, laughter, and friendship.

At Sunrise, our ladies’ groups are about so much more than cooking and crafts, they provide a welcoming space to build confidence, reduce isolation, learn new skills, and connect with others in the community.

🍽️👨‍🍳 It’s been a while since we shared an update from our Tuesday Men’s Cooking & Games Drop-In!

After seeing what the ladies cooked up recently, we thought it was only fair to see what the men have been creating in the kitchen... 👀

Ladies vs Men – who wins? You decide! 😄

Today our men’s group was cooking up a delicious storm! On the menu was:🥔 Potato & Pea Curry🍚 Fluffy White Rice🥑 Fresh Avocado Salad🌶️ Green Chilli Chutney🥭 Mango Pickle🥒 Homemade Raita

And yes – it was all prepared and cooked on site by the group! 👏

It was another fantastic and busy session, with 20 hungry mouths to feed and plenty of laughter, conversation and friendship around the table.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who help make these sessions possible, and to everyone who came along and enjoyed the meal.

Big shout out to for supporting our Men’s Cooking and Games Drop in at Sunrise MCP!
