This is great for those budding gardeners in the banbury area... why pay for nitrogen rich plant food when we can recycle and save some money at the same time!

Are you a keen gardener with an allotment? Or just potting up your summer flowers in your garden? Bring along a bag to the salon and collect some hair to add nitrogen rich nutrition to your soil, and maybe a compostable towel or two to act as a malch for your allotment or bedding.
Wed-Sat, no appointment necessary 😉

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!! 🐣🐣
After all those easter eggs have been eaten (and we like ours as much as the rest of you!) remember to recycle all that packaging! 🐣🐣

🐣Recycle right this Easter!! 🐰

Did you know aluminium is one of the most recycled materials ever? When it's recycled it doesn't lose any of its properties or qualities and therefore isn't downcycled like plastic or paper, for example. Most aluminium products out there contain some recycled aluminium already.

So this Easter, make sure you recycle every last bit of your chocolate wrapping. Here's how to do it right:
♻️ Eat as much chocolate as you possibly can!!!
♻️ But make sure it's palm oil free (solid Lindt chocolate is the palm oil free I believe, as is Darrell Lea chocolate. Cadbury and Nestle use lots of palm oil unfortunately 😪)
♻️ Collect all the foil wrapping
♻️ Screw them all up together into the biggest ball possible (if it's too small it'll slip through the cracks and won't get recycled)
♻️ Lob it straight into your home recycling bin

Happy Easter (for the weekend!) everyone💚

Although it feels like something small, these little blighters all add up! https://www.facebook.com/530799580435808/pos...

As a club we are collecting our empty tablet strip packs and taking them to Superdrug. Superdrug are working in conjunction with TerraCycle who will convert the packaging into reusable raw materials using its unique recycling process – preventing empty packs spending a lifetime in landfill. What’s more, Superdrug are supporting Marie Curie as each empty blister packet that gets recycled as part of the ‘Little Packs, Big Impact’ scheme. It's easy - it's free and it's a double whammy - recycling and supporting a fantastic charity too. It really is amazing as to how they add up very quickly 👍

Its all been a little quiet here on the Project Eco page 🤫 but that doesn't mean we've not been busy.

Ellen has been putting her skills to good use and making these fabulous shopping bags 🛍 from the rescued old clothes🧵 and fabrics that have been saved from landfill! Can't be bad, can it 👏

**Only 3 bags left! Thank you to those who have bought and saved from landfill! One is even on its way to its new home in Scotland!!**
They are for sale too!! Just £5 each 😁 So why not support us and do your bit for our world 🌏

We are now ready for more of your old clothes... no waste here!

Now these guys have it right! 🌺💃🕺

Their clothing is made from 100% reclaimed fibres. Theses fibres are recycled from off cuts of fabric that would otherwise have been disposed of, to create brand-new products and that’s what makes their Hoodies unique.

This huge bin bag of clothing and material was no good for the charity shop, which is where most people dispose of their old clothing ♻️

It was heading for the 🗑 and on its way to landfill ⛔😪

🌍 Project Eco to the rescue! 🌎

It has now been sorted, cleaned, some items repaired ready for charity (tbc), buttons & zips reused and material cut up ready for crafting or other projects! The waste is now under 180g... and we're not classing it as waste just yet! 😃 One thing our lovely Elle can do is make use of (almost) anything!

❌ Please DO NOT throw away your ruined clothing or material.... it WILL go to landfill!

♻️ Contact us and we will collect it, repair it, recycle it and reuse it... repaired clothing can then be donated to charity or resold. Craft supplies will be sold on and 100% of profits will go back into sustainability and eco charities.... ✅
