👋💛 Farewell, Bee! Today marks the end of an era for Age Friendly Banbury as Bee Myson retires after six years as Coordinator.

Partners came together at a special “Tea for Bee” at The Mill Arts Centre to celebrate Bee's incredible contribution to making Banbury a more welcoming, accessible and inclusive place for older people.

We wish Bee a very happy retirement. The Age Friendly Banbury partnership is very much continuing, and we’ll be sharing how the work will move forward in due course.

🎉🛥️ Banbury Canal Festival may feel like a while ago, but the Age Friendly Banbury team had a fantastic weekend!

It was great to engage with so many people about our work to make Banbury a more welcoming and accessible town for older residents.

📚📖 Do you enjoy reading? Are you aged 60 or over? Age UK Oxfordshire runs TeaBooks groups – friendly book clubs for people aged 60 and above, offering a chance to share a love of books and reading while meeting new people.

Pop along on Wednesday 15th October at Woodgreen Library, Banbury between 1:30pm and 2:30pm!

🎉💃 Banbury is ready to celebrate Older People’s Day!

Join us next Wednesday, 8th October at The Mill Arts Centre for a fun-filled day of creative ageing activities. Try your hand at Bollywood, ballroom, or Latin dancing, relax with Tai Chi Chih or yoga, and get creative with arts and crafts.

✨ There’s also a chance to chat with local service providers and partners for helpful info and advice.
