A quick summer tidy of the Dromore Street Flowerbed. Thanks to all our volunteers for giving their time to keep Banbridge Tidy!

A few weeks ago we weeded, cut and tidied the Dromore Street flowerbed. We love doing it and have kept this corner of Banbridge tidy for the past 2 years 💪 🌺 🪏

Tonight we got back to inject colour to the corner by planting a variety of geraniums from local producer Hawthorne Horticulture.

Our sincere thanks to J McCourt Furniture Banbridge, and Kevin from Harry's Bar and Kitchen. They have been our greatest supporter in keeping this corner of Banbridge colourful and tidy. We couldn’t do it without you! Marion is also very persuasive!

Thank you to Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council for providing compost through their compost scheme for community organisations. This simple gesture is returned directly to our community by improving spaces we love to keep tidy.

And of course Rosehip Landscapes who keeps us right and brings us surprise grasses and rosemary to plant.

And last but certainly not least, thank you to all our volunteers who support us by turning up and mucking in! Special shout out to 11 year old Finn, who has a real interest in landscaping and who joins us every time we take on this flowerbed.

We’re posting a few days after the event, but we managed to do a great tidy on the Dromore Street flowerbed this week. It was much needed. 👏

No additional flowers planted just yet due to the late growing season this year but we hope to be back in a few weeks time with some gorgeous red geraniums to brighten this corner flowerbed.

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped. It’s always good craic and very rewarding to see the difference we can make.

We will be joined by young people from Banbridge Youth Resource Centre - BYRC who will help with a litter pick in the area and with the flowerbed.

Great to see our local Banbridge RFC getting into the litter picking love! Well done to everyone involved. Together we can make our wonderful town cleaner ❤️

As part of our 100 Bags for 100 Years challenge, Banbridge RFC volunteers have been out throughout the month of April doing their bit for the local community.

Armed with litter pickers and hi-vis vests, our fantastic club volunteers took to the roads and parks across Banbridge, Loughbrickland, Rathfriland, Scarva, Blackskull and Donacloney, helping to keep our local areas clean and tidy.

Thanks to their efforts, an incredible 112 bags of rubbish were collected and removed from our streets and green spaces.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to get involved - a brilliant example of the community spirit that makes our club so special. 💙💛❤️

It’s time for the spring tidy of the Dromore Street Flowerbed. 👏

Thank you to our amazing volunteers who collected an incredible 40 bags of rubbish yesterday, along with some boots, an umbrella and a red cone 🌂🥾 – a brilliant effort from everyone involved! Community spirit like this makes a real difference 👏

An amazing morning keeping Banbridge free from litter. ☀️

Great company, good craic and over 40 bags of rubbish collected. Thank you to all our wonder volunteers for their total dedication and passion for their local area.

There was such a super effort from our younger volunteers who picked 3 bags each. Congratulations to the voucher winner’s sponsored by Banbridge Chamber of Commerce and David Rogers Toymaster.

Thank you to Alison from Banbridge Church of Ireland for her support and for that special cuppa before and after the pick.

Also, a very special thanks to members of the public who stopped to helped one of volunteers who had a medical emergency. Their attention and care demonstrates what a supportive and helpful community we have in Banbridge.
