💙 Wednesday Warmer 💙

We’re calling on our B Positive family for a little help…

As she has done over the past several years, Sara is putting together a month-long social media campaign for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September.

As part of the campaign, we’d love to create a special post celebrating the incredible children and families affected by childhood cancer. Our fighters, survivors and beautiful angels. 💙

If you’d be happy to share a photo of your warrior with us, please DM us a picture. We’d be honoured to include them and help shine a little light on every child’s story. ⭐️

Whether they’re still fighting, have come through the battle, or sadly gained their angel wings every child matters, every story matters, and every one deserves to be remembered. 💙

💙 Special Supporter Spotlight 💙

Today we want to say a very special thank you to an incredible young lady, Faye 💙

We first met Faye, her mum Nuala, dad Chris and sister Amelia way back in October 2019, when Adam was first diagnosed. From those early days, our families have kept in touch, and over the years they have continued to support B Positive at so many of our events.

So, when we heard that Faye’s family had chosen B Positive as one of the charities to benefit from the hugely popular Keep Her Lit / Newell Stores 5 & 10km races, we were absolutely thrilled. 💙

We had a wonderful day at the event, cheering on Faye’s dad Chris and soaking up the incredible atmosphere.

And what a result… the event raised a massive £23,000, with an incredible £6,000 being very kindly donated to B Positive. ⭐

We simply cannot thank Faye, Nuala, Chris and Amelia enough for thinking of B Positive and helping us continue to support children and families facing childhood cancer across Northern Ireland.

From meeting you all back in 2019 to where we are today, it means so much to have your continued support.

Thank you Faye and family — you’re absolute superstars! ⭐💙

A Little B Positive Housekeeping 💙

Morning everyone! 👋

We’ve had a very busy few months at B Positive with lots of events, fundraising and community support and we’re now trying to round up all of our collection buckets, pop-up banners and other display equipment. 🙌

If you’ve finished using any B Positive items, we’d really appreciate it if you could drop us a DM and let us know what you have.

We can arrange to collect them, or you’re very welcome to arrange a drop-off, whatever is easiest for you. 😊

Wireless battery packs!
We know what it’s like being at home until you get an out of the blue temperature spike and you have to grab and go straight to the hospital to be admitted or those days where things don’t go to plan at clinic appointments. These wireless battery packs are handy to keep in a bag as a backup for those low battery moments.

Tonight, we simply want to say thank you.

To the hundreds of you who came along to walk Adam’s Memory Lap today, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

You will never truly know the comfort, strength and support your presence brings to us. Seeing so many people come together to remember Adam means more than words can ever express.

We always try to speak to as many people as we can, but if we didn’t get the chance to chat with you today, please accept our apologies. We are incredibly grateful that you took the time to be there and support us.

Thank you for continuing to remember Adam, for walking beside us, and for helping keep his memory alive.

As we approach Adam’s 4th anniversary tomorrow and his memory lap at the lakes today it always leads to thoughts of reflection.

I’ve been sitting enjoying the early morning sun thinking if I was asked to describe Adam Watson in one word what would it be?
