One Week On – Thank You from the Bottom of Our Hearts 💙

It’s hard to believe that this time last week, we were arriving at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, marking the end of Adam’s Miles for Leukaemia – a 4-day, 70-mile journey retracing Adam’s transplant journey in support of Cure Leukaemia.

We are still overwhelmed by the support, kindness, and generosity shown by so many people, and we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make it possible.

To Start Solar, thank you for the use of your van, it was a massive help and kept everything moving smoothly. Andrew and Ben couldn’t have been anymore helpful.

Christine and Neil from Orchid Bridal – your sponsorship meant so much, but even more so, your dedication in preparing and serving up unbelievable food every single day for the team. It kept us fuelled and lifted our spirits.

Rebecca from Renew, thank you for opening up your amazing recovery facility to us – from cryo spa to compression boots and rubs, you gave our legs a fighting chance to keep going, all free of charge.

Stephen Sergeant, your early morning drop-offs and evening pick-ups were invaluable.

Nigel and the team at Downshire Arms Hotel, your generosity in sponsoring and providing the team with a fantastic meal on Saturday night was such a treat and gave us a perfect fuel boost for the hills on Sunday.

Stephen and Alan from Piggots, your Friday night feast was nothing short of a belly buster! Thank you for opening up and looking after us so well.

To Gillian and Heather for opening up The Park Inn Scarva to let us have lunch and use the facilities. Their also kindly presented us with a very generous donation!

A special shoutout to Poyntzpass Primary, Bridge Primary, Abercorn Primary, and Banbridge High School – your cheers, your pupils walking alongside us, and the sea of smiles made a massive impact on team morale.

To The Plough Inn, Hillsborough, thank you for your kind gesture of supplying teas and coffees as we passed through Royal Hillsborough – a small act that meant a lot.

To the people of Banbridge – we will never forget the sight of you coming out in your hundreds to walk with us through Adam’s hometown. It was powerful, emotional, and a moment we will always treasure.

And lastly – to every single person who has supported, donated, shared our story, walked a few miles, or simply sent kind words – thank you. Adam’s Miles for Leukaemia was never just about the miles. It was about honouring Adam’s memory, continuing his fight, and doing something meaningful for Cure Leukaemia.

A very special thank you to our incredible core team who walked every step of the way – a self-funded trip, taken on their own time off work, purely to support this cause and Adam’s memory. Your commitment and strength was nothing short of inspiring:

• Alan
• Bill
• Bob
• Colin A
• Colin G
• Emma-Louise
• James
• John
• Karen
• Keith
• Lucy
• Roberta
• Sandra
• Stuarty

Each of you played a vital part in making this happen. We’ll never forget the bond we shared on the road, and we’ll forever be grateful.

Together, we’ve made a difference and Adam would be proud 💙

Adam’s Miles for Leukaemia – Day 4

We’ve crossed the water — and today we finish our walk at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, where Adam received his cord blood transplant on this day in 2021

This hospital gave us 14 more months with Adam. It gave us birthdays, hugs, and unforgettable moments we’ll always cherish.

Walking this final stretch is emotional, but it’s also full of purpose. We walk to fund the future — for treatments, transplants, and one day, a cure.

Thank you for being part of this with us.
