The South Ribble Men’s Shed is back this Tuesday at 7pm and the kettle is already waiting.
You don't need to be a master craftsman to join us. Because of our venue, we don't use power tools inside—we focus on tabletop hobbies, social nights, fixing up small gadgets, and having a proper laugh over a cup of tea.
If you are recently retired, new to the area, or just fancy getting out of the house for a couple of hours to meet a great group of local lads, come on down.
● Where: Carr Street Community Centre, Bamber Bridge
● When: Every Tuesday night, open at 6:30 pm for a quiet chat, 7 pm start time
● Cost: First couple of weeks free, then £3 to cover biscuits, tea and room hire

● Don't want to walk in alone? Drop a comment below or send us a private message, and one of our lads will meet you at the door for a brew!
Just turn up on the night. We'd love to see you there!

Great turn out at the shed last night, celebrating ‘the loss of the USA’ 250 years ago.

A big thank you to everyone who came down, both our regulars and the new faces who visited last night, hello..

We enjoyed cups of tea and coffee whilst munching through quite a few hot dogs and pizza slices, and played a herd immunity quiz, based on what would the USA look like now if they had stayed with the British, for example:

6. How would the American language change under strict Imperial regulation?

A) The letter 'U' is federally mandated in 'colour', 'favour', and 'honour'

B) Saying the word "Soccer" results in 10 working days in the Tower of London

C) Everyone in Texas naturally adopts a thick Preston accent ("Alright, c**k?")

The quiz was won by Alan and Ron who both scored 9 out of 10, top scores, shame they didn’t win anything other than bragging rights.

We do it all over again next Tuesday, with bird box building and chatty table on the plan. If you fancy joining our group of local lads, we always have room for one more. Have a great rest of your week, South Ribble!

If find yourself with a bit of free time on your hands, why not try something new this coming Tuesday, this week we are celebrating 250 years of the USA leaving us alone by having a few hot dogs, a quiz (about all sorts) and as always, a few brews.

The South Ribble Men’s Shed is a casual, friendly group of around ten local lads who meet up every week. Because we meet in a local social centre, we don't use heavy machinery or noisy power tools—instead, we focus on great conversation, interesting tabletop hobbies, and community projects.

Just drop in, sit back with a mug of tea and read the paper. The first brew is on us!

• 📅 When: Every Tuesday evening from 19:00
• 📍 Where: Carr Street Community Centre, Bamber Bridge
• 🪙 Cost: Free for the first couple of weeks then £3

We hope to pull up a chair for you on Tuesday!

Great turnout at the Shed last night.

Brilliant to see the lads last night for our weekly get-together. We had a great guitar demo from James, amazing sounds it could make and obvious James has practised a lot.

We then had a music intro quiz, with James playing the intros on the guitar, two teams very close together and another team that clearly needs to do more homework.

As usual, most of the world's problems were solved over a coffee.
A massive thank you to everyone who came down, especially our regulars who keep the atmosphere so welcoming.

We do it all over again next Tuesday. If you fancy joining our steady crew of around ten local lads, we always have room for more. Have a great rest of your week, Bamber Bridge!
